Love this idea. Pretty sweet you can dial up a little heavier spring in the bike park or if you’re carrying a heavy pack that day - even easier than adding air PSI’s!

Are you still having to hack, tweak and improvise on your current bikes and setups. Are you having to make your own tools to work on your bikes? Or are those days long gone? Mountain bikes and their technology have come a long way in recent years. Tubeless tires are the norm on mid-to-upper level bikes, 1x drivetrains are refined, chains aren't derailing with just a sideways look and suspension, out of the box, is next level. While hanging out with Sean Griz McClendon the other day, he was building up a new DH bike and putting on tires...

One time I borrowed 8 rotor bolts off a wheelset and forgot to put them back on before a ride, leaving 2 rotor bolts per wheel. I rode for maybe 2 hours before my bike started to make a horrible knocking noise and pulsing when I braked. Turns out I'd ovalized the bolt holes for the 2 bolts that were left. The rotor mounts for those two holes were ruined, and because they were bent out of shape I couldn't put a rotor on the wheel. I got out my trusty dremel and cut the 2 mounts off each wheel...

i homepaged this. thank you for creating this post. i don't go on insta or social media outside of posting bike stuff. i hadn't seen eliot's video. so POWERFUL. thank you, eliot. 2:16pm - just FYI, i changed the homepage title to only have eliot's name in there. his video and words have the power of first-hand, individual, direct experience. his courage to post it at all is commendable beyond words.

I encourage everyone to watch Eliot Jackson's video below and think about the mtb commuity we are part of. View this post on Instagram Full vid. This is for the cycling community. I’m exhausted and there have been so many times over the last few days where I have been ashamed to be a part of this community. I’m exhausted by the fact that I have had to fight for things that should be common place. . I am exhausted by the fact that someone will watch this video and think that I don’t care about equality for ALL people...

I still have one of those FSR links! I found it in a box in the back with a million shock DU bushings and 6x25.4mm shock hardware. There are a lot of MRP / Mountainspeed, White Brothers, Total Air, and Power Grips relics from the golden years up in the rafters. Re: narrow/wide, I don't remember the timeline exactly, but you have to remember we were producing chainguides for SRAM/Truvativ at the time, so we were privy to some early info on X-Sync. I remember being shown some sample parts of the original XX1 group at Eurobike, well before that...

Idemoed a lot of bikes before throwing a leg over the Capra. What set the Capra apart for me was that I could setup the bike for good small bump response without blasting through the travel on bigger and faster hits. I later found out why; the Capra's rear suspension was designed to be progressive enough to be compatible with both air and coil shocks. I've heard from other riders (usually 50 pounds lighter than my 220 pounds) that they never used the last 1/3 of rear travel and felt that it was a bit of a waste, I...

I have to say I really enjoyed this. Despite there being a ton of other podcasts, Eliot's sheepishly straight questions and obviously great relationship with the guests takes this to another level. Keep it going!
