my cheeta was red. its in my shop stripped down at the moment, i need a few more bits to build it back up. draco was some guys i knew & worked with when i went to college in Rochester NY. they were active over on PB at the time.this one wasn't mine, but it was one of the 3 built at the time. mine had slacker geometry. it had something like a 63 or 64 degree head angle, which was almost unheard of at the time it was built (2006). it was also super low, bb height was like...

XC racing, especially at the World Cup or Olympic level, is insanely gnarly! Besides the physical abilities required you would never find me sending it on a 100mm bike with a straight post. Head to head racing is pretty exciting as well!

So many dumb takes yesterday on social media about "roadies who can't ride REAL mtb" and the like. Clearly he just made a mistake, it happens...even to the best. I think it would be really rad if more towns and cities invested in awesome, dedicated XCO courses like this. I feel like we've seen a lot build pumptracks and mini bike parks at trailheads, so this seems like the next evolution of that. It would sure help XC become popular in the US again. While I enjoy the big, backcountry XC racing that's been the preferred flavor for last decade...

Apparently takes longer to heal than bone, doctors told him 6 months before riding, 3 before doing any sport Getting another scan in 2 weeks to see how things are progressing Finishes with an epic "I reckon my body is a super warrior, and it will go much faster" Staying positive and eating/drinking very healthy.

Looks like SRAM are working on a new Shockwiz-type suspension analysis device. They've figured out a way to package the system much smaller, so everything (battery, sensor, circuit boards, antenna, etc.) fits inside the top cap. I listened to Katy Winton on a podcast and she described her concussion and she said the most important part id how you manage it. She talked about diet etc. You can definitely read too much into it and i've felt worse because of it. The Scottish Guidance on Concussion is a good source and provides a graded chart for getting back to your sport: https://sportscotland.org.uk/clubs/scottish-sports-concussion-guidance/ I have never been so frustrated with my concussion it really had an impact on my mental health. I could not see a way out. The light headed feeling just would not go away...

Wow, I didn't know about Matt and Jeff's concussion history. I've had a very similar concussion background but I'm even older than Matt at 55. Matt might remember that iat Mt Snow in 1999 every pro qualified for the finals because I knocked myself out in for 5 minutes in qualifying. My first concussion was when I went over a berm in a bmx race at 14 (I was a pro-tec skate style helmet) next at 16 skating a halfpipe and I went on to have 11 concussions that I remember.
