9/14/2023 9:50am I love my Intense Tracer 279 and recently added a transmission to it (which would have been the only reason to buy a new one for me if it didn't have UDH and transmission compatibility). I would 100% get a new one if it had pinion. Gearboxes are clearly better in almost every way. Hanging a rats nest of cassettes...

Bernard Kerr is TEAM ROBOT's consensus 2023 Hardline World Champion for being the first (and only?) one to do a full practice run in those windy and wet conditions, including both 90 foot gaps. Give him the gold medal.

So I guess third party cassettes would be a problem as well. I run a mullet and I like e13's 9t cassettes so I don't have to run a mega chainring and still have some top end.

I preordered the S Build. The primer S IRL is a sweet bike, this is even better IMO. Checks all the boxes. Assegai 2.5 front and back, magura brakes, ohlins, love the red...just noticed but does the chainstay say "279"?

you do realize, at this level, the bike probably has the least amount of correlation to success. Team dynamics, luck, and skill are much more important than the physical bike. All of these bikes/components are comparable.
