Origin story for STENDEC from the horses mouth (they PMed me bc for some reason their comment got flagged for review) " Dave is a big history geek both his parents were in the Navy. Stendec is a morse code message that was sent from an airplane that held several diplomats with highly sensitive documents before it crashed. I've tried a number of inserts and CushCore is really (really) hard to beat compared to the competition. Yeah, its pricey for what it is, but its also saved so many rides, helped reduce arm/finger fatigue and ultimately kept me upright more than any one upgrade I've made to my bike in 5 years. Through that lens its really money well spent. We spend more on tires that wear out in a month, right? It's 2019, bizutch! Everyone is on tubeless. Good catch though. It has been added to the review. Definitely a bit shortsighted of Kona on your rims. Ghetto tubeless could be an option for you.

No inserts were used for the purpose of the test since they influence the sidewalls so much. Instead, I ran the standard EXO, then the EXO+, followed by DD using the same tread for the sake of comparison.
