Just heard from a friend producer that EMG Belgium is going to be involved in the broadcasting of the mountain bike world cups, XC, Enduro and DH. They have an immense experience in broadcasting big sports events like the Tour De France, Olympics, World Cups and Championship Cyclocross etcetera... So hopefully the get the budget to show their expertise...

Stacked field for the Thredbo Cannonball Festival in a couple of weeks. Plenty of World Cup Winners and World Champions making their way down to Australia for some pre season training/racing and to have a crack at taking home a share of the $120k in cash and prizes. Snowshoe gave it all they had to be back on the calendar for a DHI and XC round in 2024. Yo Yoda! The onsite commentator that travels with the World Cup circuit is Randy Ferguson. He is French/Canadian from Quebec. Spectator's race summary from Val di Sole: Good - Insane race, and the venue was electric from Brosnan's run till the afterparty died sometime around 4am. - Course-taping was great to keep the track safer and more interesting. VDS is an A+ venue to watch lines most of us can only dream about (ex tripling into a steep braking zone), so many interesting sections to check out and see how the riders could make the most awkward looking section fast as F$#%. Can't believe some of the hits that people's wheels survived. 10/10 recommend going if you're within 6hrs drive...

Abby Ronca with her best qualifying result yet by a long shot in Junior women with a 4th! Interested to see if the US Junior men are higher on the qualifying board at this round. The consistent natural terrain for the entire track length should allow other riders to shine this round compared to Lenzerheide and Leogang. So much more...

Rider Mike, you highlighted one of the main commentating challenges this new format presents. So many runs to commentate on the broadcast... Both sets of Juniors, Semi Finals, then Finals! It is going to take some masterful commentating to call that many race runs and keep it interesting. Rick/Cedric also have less timing info to use without the key sectors...

Riley Miller on the Podium for the USA! Well deserved and great to see her experience kicking in . Taylor Otsgaard fastest at split 1, 2nd and splits 2/3, and 4th at split 4. That crash in the final turn slid her back but was really on pace. Abby Ronca into her first WC finals. Well played USA ladies!!!
