One challenge with low volume apparel is amortizing the development cost. Soft goods sometimes cost more to develop than hard goods as it's a ton of labor making patterns, sewing up samples, testing, reworking the protos, repeat this several times, then have the factory make a few pre-production samples to make sure they interpreted your tech pack correctly. You also need to validate for durability (all brands do this, right? RIGHT?). It's as much voodoo as it is hard science, which means lots of back and forth. Yes, we give them CAD files for patterns, but it's still all hand...

I trust that after this youโ€™ll go ahead and switch back to a 26 inch bike. The reason people keep reinventing the wheel is because we keep finding better ways to make bikes.

Anything but steel for a frame is crazy Suspension is for those who have no skill Every descent has to be earned with a climb Disc brakes are a solution in search of a problem If you canโ€™t ride a single speed stick to the walking path (Sarcasm ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿป)

Sounds like you haven't pulled apart the lever and seen what it does? Might be worth your time to check it out if you haven't. If you advance the MC piston much further than where it comes from factory it closes the system off, Its a dead simple system that has little adjustment to decrease the dead stroke. A closes brake system will work for a min but not much more than that. This has all been discussed and beaten to death in the brake thread. You can pressurize the system during the bleed to try and fake it like...

You will never get dominions to have as little travel as what you can get out of T4V4's. The little screw is not how you change the bite point of the Dominions and TBH there isnt much you can do about it, the master cylinder piston is as close as you are going to get to the timing port as it is. If bled correctly T4V4's have much less dead stroke, not Kaha dead stroke but not a lot either.

Let me introduce you to my friend shimano... lol Dominions have kind of the worst of both worlds, lots of lever travel and a short ramp that goes from initial bite to rear tire lockup very quickly. Ride T4V4's and Dominions back-to-back in steep loose over loose conditions and you will appreciate the power and control that the hopes gift you with less lever travel. Don't get me wrong I like my dominions; my 2 primary bikes run both the T4V4's and A4's, but the A4's are not easy to keep from locking up in situations where the hopes have...

I'm totally sold on chain wax for off-road riding in dry conditions, but hard to imagine this is worth it when all the other Muc-off lube products are so terrible.

๐Ÿšจ wall of text incoming ๐Ÿšจ There's so much riding in California. To narrow it down, here's some coastal riding areas, as in, "you can see the coast from the riding area". What bike(s) are you bringing and what kind of trails do you like? From south -> north, excluding SD and Orange Country because there's a ton to ride in just those areas alone: The Santa Monica mountains have a lot to offer, basically all of it is on Trailforks. It's a very large area and it's easy to link up trails, so you can go for some really...

This no-name Amazon 30T chainring fits the Ochain R. It moves the chainline 2mm inboard. It doesn't work with Shimano 12sp chains, but works with other 12sp chains. I've only got two rides in with it and the change in chainline isn't ideal, but it's livable.
