But Shimano levers are not cheese to the level Magura are... Feels a bit like ranting for the sake of ranting...

FRM does offer two apartment style accommodations. https://freeridemadeira.com/accommodation/apartment-freeride-1/ https://freeridemadeira.com/accommodation/apartment-freeride-2/ I only know this because we just booked a group vacation with them in the last few days. Not to hijack the thread but would love to expand this thread out to anything Madeira. Must sees, must eats, must avoids.

long time reader first time poster here.. friends of mine are developing an vacuum bleeder for shocks and fork dampers to fully service your suspension at home, without the need of messy handbleeding. I just got the chance to try the machine myself and it works pretty straight forward. I thought i spread the word in here because i think this is a pretty cool innovation in the mtb tech for home mechanics/ race day applications etc. https://www.futureliteindustries.com/

To answer your question, tired XO1 meaning pulleys could probably do with replacing, cage been bent back to straight-ish a time or two, and probably a little less tension in the spring. I agree that X01 stuff lasts a really long time. I don't want to derail (I'm here all week!) this thread into a SRAM drivetrain discussion. Games that can be played with mechanical T-type worthy of a seperate thread when it truly drops and we have full and official info. Think I got my high-level questions answered. One more new-stuff category question. NSB or Wheels Mfg hanger and...

32" is clearly too large. 29", on the other hand, might not be large enough. So obviously the future is going to be 30.5" wheels.

Has anyone real world experiences on Michelin’s new DH16 and DH22? Ordered a set for 2025 season to replace previous generation DH22 in front and DH34 rear.
Hi, I´m guiding for Finale Freeride, surprise, surprise.. I recommend a guided Tour for the first day.(It´s "Full-Day", but maybe you can arrange it) The "Classic Tour" should give you an impression, what the range of trails is, you may expect. For the other day, you should book single lifts and combine long descents with them. They pick you up on several places.. just ask the office! So you can have up to 4-5 Trails with two lifts. What I can recommend the most... try to take more time! It´s one of the best areas in the world, and over...

As I say to everybody with a view like yours, come to Slovenia. We have a few climbs here where it's likely you'll be wishing for a 28t ring up front to replace the 30t on your bike to pair up with that wide range, 50+ tooth cassette out back. There are some people that can push insane gear ratios everywhere, but they are far an in between. There are different terrains around the world requiring different approaches. But overall, for most people, wide range cassettes are a benefit, not a negative. Having more options is great, but catering to...

I did A-B-A testing on each day aiming to get in 5 quality laps before swapping tyre, then 5 laps, swapping back again and another 5 laps. Timing was done by picking the exact GoPro frame where I crossed a specific feature on the trail, e.g. tree, rock, post etc so that I could get accurate timing to 1/60th sec and construct a perfect lap taking the best from each sector. The results often surprised me and I think "feel" can be misleading. The Assegai for example felt epic, but in the data it is slower in every sector.

I know you asked for help choosing between A or B, but have you tried C, D, E, F, G, H, or I? I haven't ridden A or B but I came here to say you should really think about C, D, E, F, G, H, or I.

Could this be one part of the equation that makes green Shimano brake fluid go dark together with dirt from slave pistons? I cleaned and checked the actual bore and there's no sign of wear. If the piston would be metallic instead of plastic I guess there could be signs of wear. This could be case with aftermarket titanium etc...

As Primoz just said, clearly its being sideloaded. In addition to that, it might have to do with the surface finish on the inside of the master cylinder body. In the huge volume of discussion of the Shimano wandering bite point phenomenon, I saw it pointed out that Shimano master cylinder bodies are bare aluminum, while the claim was made that other more boutique brakes like Hopes are hard anodized after the master cylinder is bored, so they have a smoother internal surface. I could imagine that after a lot of cycles, especially if there is any oxidation that has...

I reckon it will be sweet. We ran some 2.0mm thick galfer discs in some saint brakes for a day of collecting data and they worked great. I'm sure another .3 will be fine, the servo wave design on their levers is designed to give them tons of clearance
