The captured bushing on the axle is neat. But the flat pedal market is so crowded already... seems like a tough field to jump into.

Sorry, I went off the Chromag website at 480g. Which is also basically the same, to be fair! But it's a bigger pedal and not exactly built fragile... speaks to the burliness of the Renthal.

I thought the Push SV Eight looked pretty neat... until I saw this shock. You actually get a climb switch AND a custom tune with this option. Throw in the HBO control and I can't even see a reason to look at Push.. and this is coming form an 11-6 owner. They're offering all this at even better price point as well. Looks like a sweet shock option all around.

Just a piece of friendly criticism, I'm not sure the Smuggler's 130mm of travel is the best test mule for different shocks to be tested. In my experience, its a lot harder to discern performance when you are somewhat limited by the amount the wheel can move in the first place. The Smugger is a killer bike, but the shocks I tested all felt pretty similar simply because there isn't a lot to work with in the first place. I was thinking the same. The timing is very interesting but seems like a response to market trends. Peeps seem to be tightening up their MTB budget and even more don't even know what to do with all the advanced tuning options on more pricier shocks. Seems like a great option for many as they choose upgrade their current whip instead of buying a new one but also dont want to drop $1k+ plus on a shock.

Does anyone know if it is just a coincidence that Fast, Push and Novyparts all released very similar shocks at relatively low prices in the last 12 months? Is there some big manufacturer somewhere doing something akin to catalogue shocks for these smaller brands, with the brands then bringing their own internals for damping?

Well I've only had this suspension for a few weeks... but so far so good. They tuned it for this bike and got it to my door in only 6 days. I think you can buy more than they show on the site but you gotta hit them up directly (tho not totally certain). A big reason for me scoring this suspension is because it looks like I should be able to service them completely on my own. Sick bike! What's it like living with Intend suspension in the US? I've always been very interested in it but last time I checked they didn't sell service parts on their website for their forks. The shock looks super easy to service though. Are you able to get service parts from Intend or do you need to mail the suspension to Germany for service?
