Love this testing, thorough, kind to all the brands while still offering constructive feedback and acknowledging that everyone has different preferences. I will be stoked to see more bars added and a comprehensive list. A few years back Johan did a bar flex test, using a some gym equipment, it wasn't subjective at all and just offered a simple look at handlebar flex. I used to reference it quite a bit and wished it had been expanded upon. I very much enjoyed reading this article and look forward to the similar articles that follow.

Yeah it does seem a bit off unless that frame has some very thin tubing. A steel frame with dual crown, alloy wheels, coil shock, Ochain, huge rotors, 4 pot brakes and more. It seems like it would have to be a bit heftier than claimed. I've seen crazier things though.. so who knows.

Noob question: Might someone explain to me why there seem to be 2 valves on the rear wheel please?

The Kashima looks amazing with that blue color on the frame. How was the build process with the owner of Zoceli? I've spoken with him briefly and he seemed super cool and quick to respond. Great bike though!!

Hey man, I’m currently looking at the Swoop as I’m thinking about going back to 27.5 hows it been riding for you over the past year? Any gripes?

Shinook Liked a reply to forum topic SRAM Maven Reviews/Experiences

I ran these before moving to Intends. I've also tried a bunch of other brakes. Most of the mtbr discussion is people dogpiling SRAM due to that youtube review by Dale Stone. I tried to offer some useful commentary there but eventually got tired of arguing with people who would never try them and just wanted to shit on SRAM (which I can relate to given my CS experiences with them). I'm not really sure where Enduro MTB got the power numbers from, I can say in terms of feel at least, the Mavens seem to have more power earlier...

The industry has come a long way since the 80’s and 90’s. From hucking those fully rigid Specialized Hard Rocks off dirt lot jumps to 37lb carbon fiber e-bikes, oh how things have changed. Components have gotten stiffer, frames have gotten lighter, and modern suspension is pushing riders further than we ever thought possible. Regardless of all these improvements, things can always get better. Every R&D project has one end goal in common and that’s producing the biggest, nastiest grins for riders, you know, the ones that let everyone know they completely cleaned the toughest sections of trails all while...
