Daaang, now thats a proper DH bike. High pivot and gearbox, what more could you ask for. What enduro bike do you have that cracked?? unfortunately they dont make my frame anymore from what I've heard. The Saturn kind of took its place. I got this bike for dirt cheap, otherwise I would have actually gone for a Nicolai Nucleon with the supre drive. That or the Kavenz gearbox bike. I believe the C and P line share the same mounts, no idea about effigear though. That is one thing I like about this bike though. Even though its heavy...

Yeah honestly I would just say to buy a few extra shifters (I’ve already broken one) as they stick out and are a weak plastic. Unless you get smart shift, which is what I would do now. If you have that, an extra belt or two, an oil change kit, and the pinion socket tool on hand you should be set for most issues. What gearbox frame are you gonna build up??

As far as use and performance goes I really love and prefer my pinion set up. Shifts are always crisp and concise, and I know exactly what gear Im in with the numbers on the grip shift. My only gripe is that its hard to get support or spare parts anywhere for a gearbox locally. I had the belt on this one break 1 day prior to a trip and couldnt source a spare in time so took a hardtail instead. To be safe on longer adventures you would have to carry an entire belt as a spare, rather than...

It's a lot of fun and there are a lot of things I love about the gearbox. For simplicity sake I think my next one will be a regular drivetrain though.

Yeah I really like the short chain stay and the reach numbers on this frame. How does it climb for you? Ha I'm glad you mentioned the bottle opener. Definitely one of my favorite features on it

I'm not that experienced to be honest, only been riding for like 3 seasons casually and have just switched from a base canyon spectral. But so far the bike feels just great, despite being very cushy I didn't bottom it and at the same time it follows the terrain pretty well on roots and rocks, although part of the praise goes to the shock+fork I suppose. I think I also like the short chainstay, I didn't want a very long bike and I'm glad it's not. We usually prefer to ride tech stuff or singletrail (Petzen and Dolomites come to...

Not being forced into SX or NX for low end YT is a game changer. And I love the bomber stuff as well. Kinda excited to see potential new Jeffsy and Izzo builds because.... I had some bones to pick with changes they made. Deore and Bomber stuff is a great idea. Now if only we could convince brands to consider XT stuff instead of AXS... (who am i kiddin)
