Before I started making bikes, I had a variety of different designs, but had always preferred single pivots. They just felt more lively and engaging to ride. And even thought I was doing a bit of racing, I felt this was most important. It's never the bike that is slowing me down, so a bike that I felt most confident on was always going to make me the fastest. pretty sure thats the future of DH, sic rig! The only issue is the cost that I see, but that will get sorted as the platform gets more adopted. I am sick of replacing over priced cassettes (even a 7 speed DH cassette is priced like jewelry , replacing chains when they are .0000001 out of spec and cleaning my chain every ride. I am over geared drivetrains. The weight centered around the bottom less unsprung weight at the wheel..the benefits are endless for the belt and gear box.

Solid, thanks for the response! I love me some coil too, just wasn't sure if it was worth it on a short travel rig but I think I'll give it a go.

How have you been liking this build? It climb ok with the coil? I've got a used frame coming my way and am thinking about slapping a coil on it for the heck of it.

I just got a longer dropper post to compensate for the raised height. So pedaling im a bit higher up but same clearance on the descent.

Oh my word! This is next level😳 I too would love to hear more about that stem! How did you go about producing it? I'm having similar thoughts, but so far my projects haven't got further than a CAD model...

Such a sweet bike. Have you ridden it much yet? Curious how it feels when climbing. How is it downhill as well?
