Anybody notice on Moi Moi TV, he didn't know what the GPS box on Oisin's frame was. He's been at virtually every World Cup DH all year & never noticed it.

Speaking of, does anyone remember last year or the year before, Aaron had those vlogs detailing the Vee tire development process and how well it was going for them? Those videos just kind of stopped. Did they ever release the tire that the team was working on?

He gave props to GT's new Fury for carrying speed on flatter/faster parts of the track in addition to the Specialized/Maxxis chatter. Don't think there's anything at play, he's just a solid dude on commentary and to me doesn't put any bias into it even when his teammates are on track.

I couldn't agree more Mickey. If he wants it, Asa will come out of his Frameworks contract a polished professional with tons of prototyping experience, probably more than most seasoned Elites, and some serious business chops from Martin. He will be quite a package for the big teams to fight over.

Asa signed a Frameworks contract months ago… before his Enduro nats, BME wins and US Open silver, and has already been doing tons of testing with upcoming Fox and Maxxis stuff. Honestly for an American kid, Frameworks is the dream setup... Stay in Brevard with Neko when you aren’t riding moto in the desert all day with your dad, team accomdation in Morzine, spanish team HQ out of Martin Whitely’s house, with Martin handling much of the euro logistics… That’s about as “factory” as it gets!

Would guess that Yoann has a bigger marketing value to brands than most WCDH racers outside of the top 10 and dudes like Kade, Brendan etc. Remy is an absolute master at the marketing/business side of the game and a professional at delivering quality content week in week out. The reach of those dudes between YouTube videos and IG reels/posts is crazy. For the record I love what they produce and the times I've run into them in the sea to sky they have both been the nicest dudes super stoked on riding. On the team rumours front, would think...

Brendan F. was on some podcast recently explaining how he was one of the better paid racers specifically because he used the freerider sponsorship model. Rather than getting a single pay cheque from a team (+maybe a helmet/apparel cheque), he worked with loads of brands to get a small cheque from each component and reckons he was way better off. Beyond the numbers on his youtube channel, Remy is particularly good at mentioning his sponsors etc, so not too surprised he would be one of the better paid influencers. Might be subjective, but the fact that Remy is literally hitting...

Nope. Just providing a possible insight into how much companies value YouTube/Social media riders in today’s landscape. I’m all for riders making money in any way possible.

I'm confused, maybe I'm misreading this, but are you complaining that a mountain biker is getting paid? Remy makes great content, his videos are meticulous, and clearly he works hard at it. I feel like this is a place where we support riders.

As far as off-topic goes, c02 mounts in the team rumors thread is VERY FAR OFF TOPIC. Let me try to reel things back in: Honda to return in 2024 with a new carbon, gearbox, high pivot bike, and full factory support to one rider: #joshyfrothah. There. That's better.

I’m guessing it’s more of an impact than the enduro team they just cancelled. That might make some space for whatever salary he’s asking? Whether you’re able to handle his accent or not (I’m not sure why someone would have an issue with that), you can’t deny he brings more stoke and positive energy to the sport than most.

I think we can all agree that everyone raced the same course under the same conditions and the best rider for that run stood on the top step at the end of the day. I enjoy the variations and nuance of each world cup track and quite frankly wish there was a broader spectrum in the course design. Snowshoe asked some questions of riders that haven't been asked yet this season, and some riders had better answers than others. From the interviews I watched it seemed unanimous that Snowshoe provided the hard test of rider and machine thus far on...

Snowshoe has a fine track. But i personally look forward to a new venue as it incentivizes me to spectate. Especially if it’s somewhere that can both hold a race and have a good number of trails open to public for riding. would definitely not mind snowshoe returning at some point either. I really enjoyed both years I went.

Been to Snowshoe for the last two WC DHs, and my legs know from hiking up and down there that it certainly isn't flat, but all the racers there rank it as one of the 'flatter' courses, as there's lots of pedally sections (makes Loris ever so tired!). Certainly not the smoothest (Andorra), but it could possibly tie Les Gets as the roughest for rocks (well, maybe not this year's dirt inilled Les Gets). Rode Whiteface back in the 90's and it definitely has the elevation, rocks, roots, etc. to set the stage for a great DH WC, but we'll...

Mt. Van Hoevenberg is for sure XC only. Whiteface used to do DH and it was for sure legit. Was my old stomping ground 20ish years ago. I did a jersey with my last business for the bike park before they shut down with Mike.

As you know WHITEFACE was my old stomping ground. And that 5K DH run was the sh*t for sure. That would be the hardest track ever for a UCI DH race hands down. If it is Mount Van Hoevenberg that is near the ski jumps and would only be an XC race for sure. I do not think there will be any DH for the US next year according to the schedule.

Butch makes a very good point about how Snowshoe shuts down their entire operation to accommodate all of us, the race teams, the TV crews etc… I agree that there are probably very few resorts in the US who are willing to commit to hosting a race for 3-4 years let alone one race. I’m so grateful to Snowshoe for bringing the circus to town these past four years. it’s such a small venue you get such intimate access to the riders, mechanics, support staff and media. I will miss it next year. I saw Loris’ interview on WynTV as...
