jokermtb Added a comment about feature Vital MTB Face Off: The Best Flat Pedals

I have size 10.5 feet, that are a bit duckfooted, so I appreciate the huge platform area, and also why the bearing at the cranks is never an issue for me. I can't think of another pedal on the market that hits all the marks squarely like these pedals do, for my non-standard physiology! my favorites for well over a decade!

Must have bad luck, but I've busted off two clutch levers in two years. Thankfully, the Shimano SLX clutches are remarkably easy to work on, and the replacement lever is only $7. As for the original post, ..stuff wears out.

I have one and love it. It was easy to build and rides fantastic. It does have 148 rear and that makes me happy also.

Been to Snowshoe for the last two WC DHs, and my legs know from hiking up and down there that it certainly isn't flat, but all the racers there rank it as one of the 'flatter' courses, as there's lots of pedally sections (makes Loris ever so tired!). Certainly not the smoothest (Andorra), but it could possibly tie Les Gets...

The Rob Warner bit at the end was great (got a fist-bump from him walking round at Snowshoe) - Oh, BK.....so close to the win, yet so far. Gotta say, I'm glad I got a 1/2 off deal on a GCN+ one year subscription ("cancel anytime!"), as their coverage is really like nails on a chalk board for me (it just HASN'T gotten any better), and I imagine, most of the WCDH fans.....Rob and Eliot were like batman and robin, 'the dynamic duo' the fans wanted to hear.....

It is a flat track, and you are allowed to think that this is not what is good for the sport you are at the top of, no ? If you go extreme, why not add the sea otter to a world cup, it is still downhill in the end. Yet it is not what I or Loris think downhill should be. Some guys might even like Sea otter track, it doesn't make it a good downhill track. And this season Bruni is the fastest on all the flat sectors, so he doesn't need straight ski slopes, he needs flat...

Butch makes a very good point about how Snowshoe shuts down their entire operation to accommodate all of us, the race teams, the TV crews etc… I agree that there are probably very few resorts in the US who are willing to commit to hosting a race for 3-4 years let alone one race. I’m so grateful to Snowshoe for bringing the circus to town these past four years. it’s such a small venue you get such intimate access to the riders, mechanics, support staff and media. I will miss it next year. I saw Loris’ interview on WynTV as...

Odd that such a flat, boring "Enduro stage of a track" a) delivers one of the most exciting and unpredictable races every year, b) takes more of a toll on both riders and bikes than pretty much any other venue, and c) based on comments on WynTV has the best, most knowledgeable fans. Definitely seems like you'd want to avoid that place

In an after race interview, Loris Vergier was expressing how glad he is that he won't have to return next year to race Snowshoe, as he compared it to a very long and flat Enduro stage, and not a proper steep downhill. I was at Snowshoe for the DH World Cup and overheard some UCI guys say something similar at...

jokermtb Added a comment about product review A3 Helmet

Been enjoying my A2 mips for well over a year now, and I like it a lot - Although I’m torn whether I’d get the A3, for the A2 has a lot more venting, and I think it looks cooler (literally and figuratively). A3 does offer a little more protection and goggle compatibility (which I don’t need)....great to have such high quality options
