Hi! The Titanium Coil is from a Marzocchi 55er. And the pivot axle are selfmade.

Cool product for the right application. KS Lev Ci 30.9 125mm dropper is 385 g however just for accuracy sake. I have been running the 175mm version of the KS Lev Ci for about a year and besides the crappy OEM lever (replaced with a Wolf Tooth, which admittedly adds a few grams) it's been flawless.

I was torn on ordering the bike for a couple of reasons. One was that the color frame set that I wanted was only offered with a coil shock. Which didn't really jive with the regressive leverage ratio. even when I called Fox the rep I spoke to agreed it was not the correct shock for the frame and application. (application: mostly trail but also plenty of drops and a few jumps). The online reviews (i.e. Pinkbike) noted that the bike with the coil bottomed often and hard. I get why the manufacturer did it as it makes the bike...

It's a little more complicated than that. Avalanche has done my last 2 bikes (front and rear) and it's incredibly beneficial. However many of these mass produced components have severe limitations built in to their architecture that simply can not be overcome. Furthermore some of the air cans are not properly sized to get the right ramp up with specific LR's. On my newest bike (Mondraker Foxy 29) I called Craig at Avalanche and followed his recommendations for which suspension components I should be purchasing for him to mod, he was pretty specific about what gave him the best base...

Suns_PSD Added a comment about feature We Ride Coil and Air Shocks Back-to-Back

Enjoyed the article. I will say that I added Avalanche tuning to my X2 (bike is the Yeti 5.5 which has a very linear linkage rate so I ruled out a coil shock) and then added a RWC roller bearing kit and it feels a lot like you describe the coil shock (except for being linear). It has a ton of sensitivity to small trail chatter (this pretty much exclusively came from the bearing kit), great mid-stroke support, and feels a little dead/ like I have a flat rear tire but with gobs of traction. The last 2 functions came...

This is a pair of NOX Kitsuma Carbon Fiber wheels, front and rear, set up tubeless. They are laced to BLACK Industry Nine (excellent engagement & lightweight) BOOST hubs, front & rear. The wheels have 6 months total of light trail usage. They have rock scuffs, but absolutely no damage at all. They are dead straight all around and have...
