I'm intrigued, how many concentric BB's have you had, and what about them has sucked? I've been testing this design for about two years with no problem, but I'm eager to learn if there's something I should be looking out for.

This past weekend my son and I raced a local enduro with some big miles and stages with a decent amount of pedalling. In the pro category I raced 22 miles with about 4500ft of vertical. So between the 2 days (training and racing) it was a big weekend. I don't really race that much anymore but this one race I like because of how big it is. In my opinion its what enduro should be. Big days, self reliant with a good mix of tech, fast, pedalling and a huge dose of ENDURance. However this year I noticed a...

Do stop trying to come up with fancy ways of saying bike. Its bike and ebike. We don’t need anything more. Not “acoustic”. Not “analog” (or analogue). Not “pedal only”. Inventing new ways of saying bike just makes us all look like cretins. Surely you don’t think that anyone is that stupid that they don’t understand the difference.

I disagree regarding going to a simple suspension pivot, however must agree on the HP thing. Have a very fit buddy that stalks me on the trails that seemed to struggle a lot more when pedaling on his new HP bike. Best looking bike I've ever seen however. Just don't think HP's are appropriate for any bike where the rider...

more brands have been going back to a simple suspension pivot and through all the testing and racing enduro the Non-hp are faster...(minus dh as the bikes are so different) the downvotes on my comment are clearly the sheep of the HP squad

Does anyone have an idea of when Continental is going to release its new range of tyres? Seems like the Atherton Continental team has been running the prototypes for a while now.

SQ Labs are the best saddle imo. Very comfy and they have an absurdly low distance from the rails to the top of the saddle. Like it's quite hard to get your finger in there to hold the seat clamp nut. That saddle allowed me to bump up to a 200mm drop at 5'10".

The potential here is in add on E-bike kits. This has the potential to make them much more simplified, 1 chain instead of 2, lighter, good cranks, and possibly cheaper overall.

It is the constant motion of the chain, reducing chain slap - which is the biggest contributor to pedal kickback at speed.

Use to have parts of my MX race engines painted with heat dispersent paints. On old air cooled engines the difference was huge. An air cooled MX engine would fall way off in power after 10-15 minutes of race unit but with this dispersent paint's on the cylinder & head, no difference throughout an entire moto. I do wish they offered these in 160 for XC applications as I think that's the best place.

As a life-long wood feature hater I am against this both on a principled basis and on a case specific basis, haha. Wood features are bad generally, and this wood feature looks especially bad. This is a WC downhill track, not a slopestyle course, and this feature looks downright dangerous at WC DH speeds (arm chair expert rant over). On a more positive note, quading this would be insane to see.

Didn't we already go through this before with Rampage? Not sure who is asking for wood features on World Cup tracks but I'd be just as happy with a huge dirt double. Or maybe some whoops...

Hey Guys, another update. Austin was one of the first people I called after getting hurt. We're buddies and talk/ride together fairly regularly. I let him know what was up and wanted to confirm that he was staying in Europe for the next month like I thought he was. He's racing Maribor this weekend and isn't planning on coming back home until after the WC in Switzerland next month either way. That was good news as he's easily ready to go if I pull out. I also contacted USAC to make sure they get him everything he needs to compete...

Apologies for the political banter. Not psyched to see Gwin perpetually lit up just because he believes something that might go against the "norm" in bike culture. Back to the topic at hand, I think this outcome is the right outcome, despite how much of a gut punch it has to be to Austin. His time is coming, clearly. (and I hope he kills it in Maribor!) Sure would love to see Gwin pull something special out come race day in Italy this year.

Hey guys, just wanted to jump on here and say thank you to all who is supporting me throughout this situation! It means a lot to have you guys backing me through it. It was a tough pill to swallow forsure but I know everything will work out in the end. Excited to get on track this weekend in Maribor!
