This is not about buying one. It's just a resource for the community (and myself, as part of it). Also in terms of owning one. My girlfriend owns one. I steal it now and then. I have no need of an e-bike at the moment. (or put otherwise, "i have access to one whenever i wish") What bothers me is 'schrodingers ebike'. The sense that every motor is 'okay', but also every motor is a roll of the dice 'equally'. Which mustn't be the case. I'd love to have SOME data, any data, to actually understand where things scale. And...

I've been riding a yet to be released eBike with the TQ60 system, but I set it up much like you have on the TQ40. Mode 1 is set to +100 watts at a 1:1 assistance and Mode 2 is set at +200 watts with a 1:1 assistance. This bike is a bit heavier than the Rallon RS, but has a 580Wh battery. I can pretty much ride all day on that battery if I use Modes 1 & 2. I still have mode 3 at 350 watts and a 1:1 assistance. I'm loving this bike on technical high desert...

Pardon the windbagger but here goes: in short - get the radials for grip, durability and wild fun. I've mostly ridden the radials over the past 13-14 months and I think they are easily next level, and well above the others for grip, durability, and ultimately price because they last forever. They are the be-all end all for me and are now on all 3 of my bikes. No spring chicken here, 36 yrs on and I ride western NC year round, with a summer month-long Colorado trip in 2025 to compare. The jabber below is mostly DH, but I...

Had an Podium, very nice fork ! works well and inspires alot of confindence. However after leaking from pretty much the start (even after seal replacment) I switched to the 9.1. Oh boy, what a fork !!! The quality of the suspension you get is on another level and the bottom out chamber and ramp change allows alot of control ! It's not that the Podium isn't good,it's great, It just feels like a more "generic" product. The 9.1 feels more special ,more refind and higher quality.Add to the fact that it's made in the US and has easy servicing...

This is probably the best mtb suspension review I’ve ever read. Really well done. Maybe robots really are better… Sounds like a really good fork that prioritizes comfort over outright stability. Really interested to hear how the new tune works.

I like #enduropants for anything below 50 degrees F /10 degrees C. Above that temp, they are too warm. I don’t care how thin they are. I will never understand the pants with a short sleeve shirt. If it is that warm, shorts are way more comfortable.

Exactly! Obviously the reviewer does not do much technical climbing. Shifting from 42 to 50 under power on a chunky, tech climb at the limits of traction already causes jarring shifts in weighting. An even bigger gap would be completely unrideable for me in the terrain I'm most likely to use it.
