6/16/2021 11:20am Maybe I'm dumb, slow or both, but wouldn't it make more sense for hand protection (especially one's knuckles) to have the brush guards positioned further out? It would seem like anything that would strike you that far in on the bars would likely miss your hands and/or stop you completely.

4/17/2021 1:03pm Definitly an improvement, but it depends what type of trails you like to ride. I‘m not talking about the bigger wheel but the steering angle. I was pretty bummed on my first ride, on the way to the uplift and on the pretty flat warmup trail the bike felt like a chopper and was kind of strange to ride. As soon as i dropped into some steep trails all was good. I lowered the top crown by changing the spacers to get my bars where i want them. Sorry for my english, i hope you get what i mean.

4/17/2021 12:08pm I have owned 6 Transitions, and still have my Triple DJ. That said, Transition used to be a good bargain/value brand. Their prices have creeped up significantly in the last few years and are in line with the 'Big' Brands currently. Great bikes, but not really value oriented anymore

Primoz Liked a reply to forum topic How stiff are dual crown forks?
4/16/2021 8:52pm Ballparking/back-of-the-enveloping it, single crown right side up forks had a max deformation on the dropout of just over 2 mm at 50 Nm of load on the axle. If said deformation occurs at 70 mm off-axis, this gives ~1,6° of rotation at the bottom or almost exactly 30 Nm/° of stiffness. If you take a look at the original analysis, a right-side-up fork without a bridge is half as stiff as an upside down one. Also, the 2,5 factor is a dual crown, upside down fork vs. a single crown, right side up fork in bending mode. Upside down forks...

4/16/2021 5:58am Lol, that sucks. Even after you have the threadless carrier selected it still asks if you want the pliers and tire plug thing. I added to the order assuming it all fit in there...

iceman2058 Liked a product review Leatt’s Enduro 4.0 Is Two Helmets in One
4/15/2021 3:34pm
Inheriting much of its shape from Leatt’s regular 4.0 full-face, the all-new Enduro 4.0 helmet is a 2-in-1 that converts between half shell and full face mode with a simple twist of 2 levers. As with most helmets in this category, it relies on an internal harness to fine tune the fit as opposed to the full comfort liners found in traditional full face helmets. The Enduro 4.0 is ASTM certified for downhill use, which makes it a good choice for those looking for a single solution for anything from XC rides to days in the bike park. We've had...

4/15/2021 3:28pm Had the same issue with the Bell super 2r. Med helmet fit perfect, but the chin bar was too close to my face. So I ordered a large because I hoped I could put the large chin bar on the med helmet and then sell the extr parts. BUT... that didn't work. Sold the med. But the large has now set in my room more more than a year unused cause it looks stupid huge on my head without the chin bar so I just haven't worn it...
That was a waste of money... pry should have sold the...

4/4/2021 12:14am Honest question.. How does being "regressive" at the end of the stroke help with bottom out? Especially with linear coil shokes? Wouldn't you want the end of the stroke more progressive to help with bottom out??

3/12/2021 4:49pm If you bake in all costs (running a team, paying salaries - which I assume they are - materials etc.) I see no way they make any money on a frame.

3/12/2021 4:49pm So that is 2500 frames per year if sales are linear, which I'm sure they will not be. Likely something like 500, 2500, 4000. I won't discount cash flows, because I don't need eyes to totally glaze over here (plus have no idea how cash flows would work for this round), but we can do some simple math... Lets assume, all in, they are making $1200 per frame. This is all hard and soft costs baked in, and an average across all years. That means they need to move 580 frames to recoup this $700K. So maybe the investment is...

3/12/2021 4:49pm It takes 16 hours for their machine to make a single set of lugs. Their margins are definitely thin. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re losing money on every frame at their current scale.

3/12/2021 4:46pm Bikes look stunning! But looking for an additional $700,000 USD investment and only hoping to sell 7500 units in five years... When would an investor see their money back?
