Although the PFR team looks more relaxed than other factory teams, it does not make them a bad team. Sure, it is not a big factory team with a big budget, but they have their system that works for them and had some pretty good seasons in the past - 2023 and 2024 were pretty good. I think the addition of Dylan and a fired up Roger Viera is going to elevate this team and make them more competitive. Dylan is going to do great at PFR!

In my DH racing days I would turn to the Maxxis Shorty when conditions got blown out and really loose. Probably 40% of race day action in northern UT. With the better mixed use knobby layout of the Argotal and HR3 I'd probably pick them for 60-70% of race day runs. Last year I was helping to sell tires for Conti at the Solitude Monster Energy Cup DH race. By the last day of practice everyone was only asking for Argotals and Pros were running them front and rear.

To his credit, Clay Harper (or is it Porter) says every year he wants to keep the track something that everyone can race on. Amateurs and pros. But man, it would be so much better to see the pros race on a course that challenges them a bit more. Every year you hear the pros talk about how flat the course is. Makes for tight racing, but kind of boring to watch. The one year they had it off the top of the gondola it poured on race day. Track was steep and gnarly though.

I'm not sure what's difficult to understand. If you watch the videos and footage leading up to the race, the vibe is so much different that a WC dh race. Everyone is doing the track walk together and sessioning features together and towing each other into stuff rather than doing things based on "teams". There is much more camaraderie. Obviously, there are riders whose goal is to win, but there are other riders whose goal is to clear the track. Personally, I don't think having someone like Matt Jones coming in last, but flipping the last jump takes away from...

What? Mud produces some of the best runs in the history of the sport! Sam's 2007 Champery run, Danny's run in 2011, Gwin's run at Mt Saint Anne in 2018, Recces's 2020 World Championship-winning run, Amaury's 2024 Les Gets run, Ronan's and Max's 2025 Les Gets runs were all fun to watch.
