Is there a plain image of the bars anywhere? I tried finding it on their website but on mobile that thing is a nightmare.

i mean youre not wrong but a skier still needs to push into the front of their boot. also not mentioned in the analogy is that lengthening the tails will lessen the forward weight bias needed to turn the ski. if i have to weight the front end i want lower and longer for more stability. but if i want a short reach high stack for body position, i want longer CSs so that i dont have to lean precariously over the front to get that grip. a lot of bike stuff (0 stem...) is trying to fix weight distribution...

Super short stems have the potential if the entire geometry of the bike was built around them. They seem unlikely to work well as an add on to existing geometry that was designed around a normal stem length.

I sometimes wonder if being sociopath / borderline psychopath is requirement for success in the custom suspension trade.

We’re all confused by mention of short stems, zero stems, and reverse stems. These should be treated as very different components, not just “short stems.” There are great reasons to run these stems but there are also drawbacks, just like there are drawbacks to longer stems. Regarding chainstay length, there are great reasons to run longer chainstays, and a big one is to balance out rider position. A lot of folks enjoy bikes that put them in an upright position with a shorter stem (for quicker steering) and taller stack (for more leverage.) there are other benefits to this position...

If I had to guess, that zip-tie on the linkage is so people don't try to cycle the linkage because the shock doesn't work. I find it much more likely that the rear shock isn't pressurized than someone went through all the effort to make that frame but it doesn't work. It's way easier to make a bike frame (especially with that lugs-and-tubes design) than a functioning rear shock that can contain the 200psi people will cram in it. The cam for a firmer bite point has me extremely interested. Glad to see they’re still DOT. I’m getting more and more mineral oil brakes and I find them annoying. Just bought the trinity a few weeks ago, didn't have the chance to go on a trail yet but went around town trying to bed in the brakes. The modulation is amazing, but I still feel there is power left there on a 1 finger pull. Still can't fully lock the front wheel on a fast hard 1 finger pull (unless I use 2, which I never do). A few thoughts: On the Reserve warranty changes: This isn’t surprising and doesn’t suggest the company is failing. It’s more of a “this isn’t sustainable” moment. Is it a little shady to shift direction after a big splash on the original policy? Maybe. With shimano's new release, i cant help feel disappointed by the lack of Power increase(and no change in feel, other than no wandering point), still have to use big rotors and decent pads to get them up there with most other options. definitly not worth 'upgrading' if you put Putoline in your current X200 series
