I've got a buddy that does a lot of riding and a little racing on a 2019 Blur, and he's coming up on 18k miles on an XX1 DR on that bike. Still works great. I'm kind of wondering if my Eagle DR collection might outlive me. If not, I'll take Madrone over T-Type.

But why run T-Type then, why not just runt he old Eagle stuff? And then when you're at it, why not run an X01 Eagle derailleur? Granted, at some point X01 derailleurs will be a thing of the past, especially with Sram replacing the Eagle gen with 'new' derailleurs where the best cable actuated option is essentially GX, so that's...

Honestly, the lack of "fudgeability" by using the limits + b tension screws to deal with any cable/housing related issues puts a hell of a lot of pressure on the tension adjuster on the sram 90 shifter and its just... not up to the task. I think I'd be singing a different tune if it felt as nice to deal with (and worked as well) as the XO and XX1 stuff did in the previous generation. I recently put an XO DH shifter on a madrone DH jab and my god its so nice, and in my opinion what the...

I'm also 190 cm and also on a large, but the Aeris 9 is even larger than previous models. I was on an XL AM9 before (I have both bikes in the bike check section) and started feeling the XL is too big so I went with the L Aeris 9. Sadly it's zoo much bike travel wise for my...

That is a fine choice of dandyhorse there Mr P . I like my Aether a lot but even at 1.90m on a large , 20mm of spacers and 30mm bars feels pretty good (a longer cs would be nice though ;o)

I know I’m in the minority here but I’d take a slightly cheap feeling shifter that feels like a shifter over one that feels like adjusting the volume on a cheap bluetooth speaker any day.

It's a shame there is no way to adjust the height of your handlebars. If you bike's stack is 10mm lower than you'd like you just have to put up with it.It's really unfortunate.

Yeah, my iPhone even warns me that there is an AirTag near me on most flights I take now, since a lot of people throw them in their luggage. Of course Apple does this since people have used AirTags to track unsuspecting people for nefarious purposes, but this makes it difficult to use them to defeat all but the stupidest of thieves.

I know I need to take this to the Geo chat... haha...So after this, id be happy to discuss over there to keep this for its intentions. but I think with higher stacks and longer chainstays, the front end doesn't need to be as long and the therefor the wheelbase can start to shorten back up. Calculating the rider triangle and sizing, mathematically, we can fit similarly but just change the hinge at the hips and body positioning. Bringing the leverage back higher with the stack, you gain back some 'agility' and being able to ride 'active'. You can still...

Carbon is conductive, and hence a pretty good shield for RF. Placing an Airtag inside of a Carbon or metal frame would degrade signal strength pretty severely.

Considering your bike has a ratio of 1.93 which is quite very very high, that makes sense. You need to be way lower and over the front for any traction on that bike. This in an XL is 1.82, therefor, low stack will just be a load more front end weight through geo than you are used to. Thats where the higher stack would aid in a better feeling (subjective) riding position and still maintaining good front end weight. You don't NEED to ride over the front as heavily anymore because the geo already naturally is giving you more front...

I did not expect an XL Yeti to come with 465mm chainstays in the short setting.

Congratulations, you invented Hammerschmidt. In my opinion, and I've already talked about this, something like a Classified hub could be potentially viable for mtb use, but coupled with a 6 speed wide range cassette. Think skipping every second gear we have currently and having around 40 % jumps between gears. The gap in between those is handled by the internal...
