So my intend came with the guards already installed fron the previous owner. I think they look good but the main advabtage is that they might let you keep enjoing a riding day that could have been been ended when you would habe scratched the legs of the fork and instead you scratched the fork guards. When you are out and about, the cheap price of a part is not gonna get you far, only if you carry it with you. But im pretty sure noone is carring a spare stanchion on a ride, right?

Only thing I care about these guards is how rad they look. In the unlikely case I ever get one of these forks I make sure they're on Smile

It's almost like riders have different preferences in tires, ride different trails in different conditions, and have different skill levels.

A couple of notes to consider. Spring Rate. Yes, you're in the camp of riders that we developed the Sub Chamber system for. The V2 Sub Chamber is 100% backwards compatible with that fork. Chassis. This is a tricky one as the the front hub plays a significant role in how the chassis performs. This is why there's such a broad range of rider feedback in regards to stiffness with inverted forks. My guess is that FOX didn't want to roll the dice with this variance, which is why they committed solely to the 20mmx 110 boost configuration. Our recommended...

as someone who works on their bike a bit and knows enough to know what is relevant, but little enough that I have to constantly search things... let me tell you that basically none of the info I get from google ai is usable. Not sure if Chat GPT is better, but holy shit, everything is wrong.

Yeah, it's just how LLMs work. They're statistical language models that generate plausible sounding nonsense.

I managed to go somewhere with proper tech today. My opinion of the radials just keeps getting better and better. Also had a ride at the weekend with so much traction, I hit a sand pit and it felt like I had a motor in my front hub, even when I was two wheel drifting it was composed and comfortable. The tech today was so good, it helped that I was borrowing the Ohlins coil off my bro's bike, but even with all the rocks and roots and stuff I never felt like my front was losing it, I had...

The fork may flex during use, but if it is binding that bad unloaded it will have a negative impact on performance. I found the PUSH 9.1 to have a tight bushing fit initially, and as such it had more feedback through the hands and was difficult to get into the last 30mm of travel. After the bushing fit was corrected, performance was noticeably improved. With all the same settings on the same trails the fork now gets within 10mm of bottom and is much better on the hands. It would be very interesting to see if any of the...

Paper products from Germany can only mean one thing, new fork day! This is the Intend Flash 35, it can be run from 160mm to 190mm. Very similar to the Edge; but with a more robust crown, longer legs, and slightly different uppers. After initial riding and then a full tear down and inspection, there will be some parallel testing with a 35mm Boxxer. Both forks will be run at 190mm of travel on a DH bike. The capability of the 170mm inverted forks at Angel Fire was so impressive that a direct comparison of a longer travel version to...

For anyone first getting into radials getting the right PSI does take some tinkering, but it's totally worth it. +/- even 1 psi can make a lot more difference that in non radials. Terrain and weight, and side walls, also make a big different one person to the next.

Being 175lbs riding weight myself I feel I can benefit from stronger brakes than the codes, so it’s definitely worth it to get something more powerful. A colleague of mine always thought his guides ultimate were enough at 230lbs Now on mavens he knows he was wrong

I was convinced I had a creaking headset or CSU, as the sound seemed to be coming from the front of the bike. Turned out to be from the saddle rail clamp (my background is noise and vibration engineering, so I'm disappointed in myself for being so wrong!). So my advice would be make sure you've ruled out all the other potential culprits (bottom bracket, suspension pivots) as well as hunting down the CSU creak
