5/21/2026 9:43pm Running less sag makes a bike track poorly on account of losing contact with the ground anytime there’s an indent the wheel has to go over. You see the same exact issue with people lifting vehicles to drive off road. They throw preload collars on and all of the sudden they feel the truck is harsher. The spring rate hasn’t gotten stiffer so why does it feel harsher? It’s losing contact with the ground and causing the chassis to pitch to allow a wheel to drop into a hole as soon as a hole is deeper than the amount of...

5/21/2026 3:26pm You have less to push against with a more linear bike. If you look at wheel force normalized for sag it all makes more sense than just looking at leverage curve. The wheel force is always identical at the sag point when normalized for sag. The more progressive layout will have a higher wheel force past sag and lower wheel force before sag in comparison.

5/18/2026 12:33am I'd much rather fix a carbon bike with a damaged downtube than an aluminium bike with a crack. Between the two, my money would be on the carbon bike having the longer lifespan. Aluminium fatigue is a bitch.

5/16/2026 11:12pm Whichever bike has the best damper tune specced probably wins at that point. I'm pretty sure that's a big deciding factor between bikes with different linkage designs also though. You would need control wheels, and tires at a minimum, and probably drivetrain also to get any useful data about which frame works better.

5/10/2026 1:51pm My question is why is it so complicated mechanically and with all the electronic suspension. Frameworks doesn’t seem to need all that extra stuff on it.

5/9/2026 4:27pm may get some hate but I think that law is fair enough. We dont need to be going mach 10 uphills - and i think Bosch is on the right track in increasing performance where its actually needed - on actual off climb trails, such as steep access hills/paths/roads at a sensible pace - Do they need to be add...

5/9/2026 3:44pm CORRECTION: I have decided to go with a BOSCH bike rather than an Avinox bike. Long story short... It still boiled down to packaging, as I found the right geo, bike, weight, and battery (for me) at a competitive price. NOT hating on Avinox, by the way.

5/9/2026 12:48pm Ask them WTF were they thinking building out that Auburn spot having the team build this bike then recall everyone to MH, saying they have no money then charging 7k for a frame. The pricing seems like a miss but maybe they're trying to recoup. I suspect that they were told to build something as high end as possible. I also suspect they lost some key people to their relocation scheme. Trippin over dollars to pick up pennies. How did it feel to be taken down by a run of the mill crab bike. Echo questions on chainstay/stack Find out...
