Lars’ seat angle is the counterweight to Dario’s seat angle in the Bellingham area 😂

Re: Saddle Angle: While it may be more ergonomic to point the nose down for climbs, it just plain looks gross. I am on Team @Lars_Sternberg with this one. Set it level and call it good. Your taint will get used to it. We all pay a price for fashion. 🤷🏾‍♂️😂

I have a Nicolai G1 with the following geo: 510mm reach 1349mm WB 474mm chainstays 115cm handlebar off the ground 203mm front travel and 211mm rear I have been using a 20mm stem for years and also have a 10mm one which I have tested on occasion. I have recently put on the 10mm stem on backward and got a set of 90mm risers (previously was on 60mm). If you draw a straight line through the handlebar from the grips then the bars are 35mm behind the steered tube. I thought my 20mm stem and 60mm stem setup was dialed...

Absolutely going to feel that if you're not "buying a bike for it". So for me that was highly exaggerated. For Brian it's a bit more interesting because I believe he ran it on a proper bike (along with trying the custom mule). Along with being a much better rider, I expected him to basically utilize it more but also struggle when trying to push. Which makes sense as a mere mortal, it's not like Brian makes 0 mistakes on a normal bike, as well as I'm not sure how long he's committed a specific time period to the stem...

Cartert Bilawchuck is a 16-year old who made his own bike, it ended up looking incredibly polished - and rad ( it was a lock for Vital BOD of course too)! This deep dive edit is full of insights into the trials and tribulations behind pulling off such a project, I figure it should be of interest to the followers of this thread:

Thanks a ton for all the questions today everyone. That was fun. With that, I'm signing off and jumping in the race van tomorrow morning to head to Mtn. Creek Bike Park for round 2 of the Pro Downhill Series. If you're in the area or around for the race feel free to stop by and say hi! Thank everyone!

Cheers for making this thread. I think it’s going to get quite old man shouts at clouds, but there we go. I come at this from a slightly different angle, I’m an elected local councillor. As a result I’ve managed to have meetings with a few of the land owners and managers at my local. It’s a complicated picture, 3 public owners, a few private and 2 main land managers who have different goals and incentives. It’s an intensively used bit of land, 2 million people live within 30km of it in a very nature deprived part of a very...

For me, it's not so much the power, but the packaging. I was not using ALL of my Bosch power or even my EP8 juice when I had them. However, given that the newer Avinox bikes are providing full power in a size/weight configuration getting closer to a DH/enduro bike... Why not? To me, the Ebike is more of a...

I’m sure your bikes are great! Having ridden bikes of all kinds and all materials as well as given feedback on said bikes, I’m sensitive to the feel and finish. We are having real conversations about these things and appropriate changes are being made. To that end, though the bike is an “unfinished” product, the only thing limiting me on this bike is my ability—EVEN though changes are being made to address the overall feel.

Nothing special with the crank set. You have a good eye… Yes, a BMX left-side drive crank set would work! However, any crank set with a 24mm spindle works as well. I did swap the axles on my pedals so the orientation would be correct.

With the BB in the more forward position, my chainstay is at 460. With it in the rearward position, it sits at 445. I would need to use a half link chain or different chain length to try a more up or down variation, but I havo tried that because I like the feel of the bike as I have it set up.

That's my son @brady_buck_MTB in action. He was so pumped to get to do the photo shoot on this one on his own trail that the SEH groms put so much work into. Give him a follow on YouTube, he'd be stoked.
