Curious about putting a 130mm travel fork on a frame that most people are putting 150-160mm forks on...

Sam Hill won the Garbonzo Downhill on what looked like some kind of prototype or test rig, chances are we’ll see a new DH bike from them in 2019.

Not discounting Maes at all. However, Maes is 21, body and mind can 'switch gears' a bit easier so to speak at that age.

Modern tracks don't suit Sam, but he have such a big talent and with good motivation he can win.

My Heart says yes, but if there was money on the line, I'd place my money elsewhere.

Different disciplines for sure. However, Loris just won the Trans Cascadia in pro with Luca Shaw in third. They both beat last year's winner, Geoff Kabush who got 5th. He is no endurance slouch. DH isn't enduro, but the top level pros are in great condition.

Well here's my 2 cents at this point they aint going away, good or bad for us they aint going away. I'm very concerned about losing access to the areas I love to ride because of lazy selfish bikers I've already seen plenty of them on the trail & I'm sure some of you have as well and there are signs posted on the trails about NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES but on the subject of Townie type cruiser bikes maybe they make one tough enough to carry me uphill with a rack to carry my beloved pedal only all mountain bike...

Make an e-bike. Go for it. But using an iconic name from your history of race bred machines? I think the program managers made a bit of a poor choice there for a pun name? Haaaaa. I'm going to go ahead and guess there are some salty employees/designers/engineers at Intense on this one.

I didn't really like Intense bikes anyway, so it doesn't matter that this brand has eliminated all possibility of me ever buying one of their bikes now.

Oh for the love of fuck, would it kill someone to post a shot of the women's results as well? They're racing the same track. They paid the same entry fee. Give 'em equal coverage and at least ATTEMPT to give a fuck.

Are these jobs people actually want? Our economy is changing and I am not convinced people want a career building bike frames when every year those frames are getting closer to being to be built by robots. That will bring a new type of job to the bike building processs

MPH24 makes a very valid point. I don't know many people in the western world who want to hand lay carbon and wear a mask all day (not to mention repeating the same task over and over and over). The same could be said for aluminum frames. Not a very attractive workplace. Jobs are great and all, but careers today are not made from working on an assembly line. You need skills. Be those technical skills, retail skills or whatever... the bang out a thousand of the same model jobs are dead and/or dying.

'Democrats, or Republicans' was not mentioned. I hope you do see the relevance of the cost of cycling goods to a cycling site though. News that will most likely affect everyone should just be seen as that, news, not bias. Plus, this article had good arguments for and against, which should be the standard of quality news. Better to be educated than insulated.
