There's a middle ground here. You can LOVE e-bikes all day long and still acknowledge they're not the type of machine that vital readers came here to get informed about and stoked on.

shifting was never purely rider powered, prior to wireless / electronic shifting it was mechanically powered, which is also "additive energy" as you put it. The rider just pushed a button. The rider is still just pushing a button with wireless / electronic shifting, so not much has changed in terms of rider input. I wouldn't consider this a form of E-bike because you're not really getting any more assist than you were before. What it does come down to is less set up for the bike builder or mechanic, thus another way the bike industry is putting your LBS...

You can upgrade the following forks: RCT3: Pike (2014+), Lyrik (2016+),RC2: Pike (2018+), Lyrik (2016+), BoXXer (2019+) An SKF wiper seal kit will also be available for older 35mm forks at an additional cost. Replacing the stock fluid with Maxima Plush will increase the performance of older dampers, but it is not the same as the changes made to Charger 2.1. Surprised at the pricing. You can get the specialized Kenevo for the same price at a shop. E bikes = one of the horsemen of the apocalypse for mountain biking

Look if the guy didnt ride REAL bikes with them when they were young i doubt he has a real interest now. Looks like hes never been on the thing... this is a sellout piece and they were all paid for it.. We ALL have limitations! When i hike with my mother i go slow because the time with her is more important than going fast or getting a workout.
