Nice, 2021 rumors thread before the 2020 season has even started, what a year!

"Charger 2.1 upgrade kits will be available in the aftermarket in both RC2 ($250) and RCT3 ($330, $375) versions specific to Pike, Lyrik, and BoXXer. You can upgrade the following forks: RCT3: Pike (2014+), Lyrik (2016+),RC2: Pike (2018+), Lyrik (2016+), BoXXer (2019+) An SKF wiper seal kit will also be available for older 35mm forks at an additional cost. Replacing the stock fluid with Maxima Plush will increase the performance of older dampers, but it is not the same as the changes made to Charger 2.1. Note that it is not designed to be used as a lower leg lube."...

Brendon_Newton Added a comment about feature From the Workbench: At-Home Brake Bleed

12/3/2016 12:13pm
Well written article and something anyone who lives somewhere with long descents especially could do more often. Couple things I'd add though... -Sram brakes (going all the way back to juicy models) get bled at about a 45 degree angle, not flat, so that the bleed port is at the top of the system. And anything with a Taper Bore master cylinder (All Elixirs) needs to be bled with the tip of the lever blade between 75 & 80mm(not degrees) from the center of the bar. -Clean your pistons with alcohol before you push them back in when installing the...

Bear spray on the bottle mount. It saved Vito's ass when that mtn. lion charged him at the game creek trailhead! Buddy Alan does actually roll with a chest mounted 9mm for a lot of rides outside of cache and on the pass. Arguments over the efficacy of both but I've generally got a can of spray on my pack...

Brendon_Newton Added a comment about video Red Bull Hardline POV with Gee Atherton - So GNARLY

The majority of the trail looks "rideable" to mere WC contenders but yeah those jumps and hucks to flat at speed... All I can think watching this POV is that it looks like the modern day version of riding a Matt Thompson designed trail over a decade ago or at any point in Sol Vista's glory days. It looks like a wet dream he's had for a lifetime! MT(plus Swentz and Moga) for next Hardline build crew?

We sold a small fraction of bikes with the DB Inline compared to bikes spec'd with RS or Fox products and I warrantied more recently purchased DB Inlines than the total amount of warranty claims I had with the other two manufacturers combined this summer... that is all.

Yeah Zo, I think that was the case in the years of old but the offset pulley situation of SRAM/Shimano 11sp and the popular Rad cage for Shimano 10sp wide range applications seems to correct that issue. Subtle improvements to the rear derailleur over the years make it look the same as it's always been but a lot's changed in those 5+ years. I think Shimano had just embraced limited B tension (i.e. shadow) and clutches/offset pulleys were still a ways off back then.

I had this frame lined up to build and ended up being offered another bike to ride this season. This frame is brand new and hasn't been built. I have all included parts/pieces that come with the frameset brand new including headset and rear axle. The tubing to help with internal cable routing is also still in the frame and...

ridevt Liked a comment about Feature Sneak Peek: 2015 Trek Slash 27.5 Carbon

Pretty sure you're referring to the re:Aktive technology combined with DRCV. Apparently Trek thinks it still has a place on the lower travel trail bikes. Slash riders were having to run insanely high rear pressures to avoid bottom outs on bigger hits and the Monarch has the adjustability slash riders are looking for. My take...

Davetrumpore hit the nail on the head and I'd take it a step further... If you want to help keep DH racing alive in the US, stop supporting USAC sanctioned events and help remove that company from US downhilling entirely. Other MTB formats are having BIG success outside of the bureaucratic and notoriously unsuccessful USAC umbrella. Removing the USAC from US downhilling would do more for the American downhill race scene than any amount of views on any amount of articles on this or other websites.

Brendon_Newton Added a comment about product review Duo Stem

I had the exact same experience with my Renthal Stem. Way over torqued and still slips on the steerer. Supposedly a redesign is on the way. Hopefully a little more Renthal quality on the new model.
