If you own an EVO, dont buy the stumpy 15................. The geo is basically the same lol. Leverage update is irrelevant when the cascade link exists.... You cant even run mechanical drivetrains lmao. This update is just a way to combine the stumpy and EVO models together, less SKU like trek.

My two cents on pricing: give it 6+ months. When has Specialized not rolled out more options with time? The builds at launch are a few hundred dollars more than the previous Stumpys, but they are also within touch of where there bikes have been. It's like anything new—there will be the early adopters who don't mind paying top dollar to have the latest and greatest. Then, the rest of us will get on board when we can justify the cost. Or we'll just keep riding our 2021 Stumpy and texting on our iPhone 6. Right , @sspomer?

I was catching up reading all the pre-embargo chit-chat about the Stumpy and you beat me to linking our review, Spomer. Do we even need to cover new bike launches at this point? All you internet detectives seem to get the job done just fine haha I'm curious what people think about the Stumpy after they read through all the details. As you'll see, I only rode the bike for two days, but I really liked it. I gave more of an overview of how the GENIE shock works and focused more on what that translated to on the trail...

I see Zink talk pop up every two years or so and I always hold my tongue, but this time I just want to put my experience with him out there because I’d bet I’ve interacted with him more than 90% of the people on here. I second your experience. I grew up outside of Reno and have bought 3 frames from Zink and ridden/dug at the local trails a few times with him. He is a great guy. I’ve had in depth discussions with him about previous frame sponsors (first bike I bought from him was in 2011 and...

Can of worms opened! Yes it's recyclable, but not into its original form. Can use it in chopped strand stuff. Resin has to be burnt. Very expensive. No-one really does it. Ally can be, but uses shit loads of energy to extract in raw form. Swings and roundabouts. No-one ever quantifies the environmental damage. Chose your material and be a dick about it If you really cared you'd hang onto your current bike until it brakes and not buy another one!

Aluminum bikes are not disposable, they are recyclable. Carbon bikes are disposable and not recyclable. I heard Big S kept their aluminum bike team when some of them carbon folks got laid off. The return of aluminum is here!

Well you got the 2nd part of that down real good, and part 1 too for that matter. I would put you on my fantasy bike company board for sure.

Yall he is in an advisory role... aka get's to ride all the stuff, tell folks they dumb for XYZ, all while taking home a check. This is what people do once they sell their company. Both Big S and Rob are smart and this makes a ton of sense.

Roskopp joins Special Ed. Who had that on their bike industry apocalypse bingo card? Other strange news, Sinyard was spotted at the local Norco factory store here on the Shore. Specialized to buy Norco?
