+1 on Downtime here! The pre- and post-race shows are among the holy triumvirate of DH racing content (with WynTV and Vital Raw), absolutely not to be missed. Agreed. He’s great and I love the pod. I also really enjoy, weirdly, the Downtime goes downhill series. A bunch of amateur Middle Aged Brit’s racing downhill or enduro shouldn’t be that interesting to me… but somehow it is.

Just remember what HE did to Gwin. Honesty, transparency & relationship based business growth are dead last on that guy's priority list. Second worst priority...financial stewardship.

Thanks for voicing your concern. Wheels are a really large initial investment when it comes to tooling, hitting MOQ's and first production numbers. Most of the larger brands you know have easer access to capital than a brand our size. Crowd funding was a way to test the market and raise capital without selling out to private equity or taking on huge amounts of debt. Now that the heavy lifting is done, keeping wheels turning is less of a hurdle (pun intended ha). We have planned for lots of stock incase things go awry for customers.

I’m marveling at this dude’s ability to detach himself from decisions he made. Talking about these onerous contracts that have simply handcuffed them, whatever shall we do? Zero accountability. Like, I expect it from these sociopath CEO LinkedIn financebro podcast goblins, but it’s infuriating to hear. Made it to the halfway mark, I’m out. The cornball way he holds the mic should’ve been enough: dude’s a kook. I sure hope he stays out of racing forever.

yeah it's funny how as we age our interest change too. My whole youth was racing DH, Supercross and motocross. Golf and Baseball were far from interesting. Now I've had a couple of kids, a massive mortgage and half a head of grey hair my interest have shifted to the old man stuff, lawn care, golf, watching sport and drinking beer alone lol. Riding bikes will always remain, it's more the social aspect of it now. My appreciation for what people enjoy is broadened. My tolerance for dickheads and fake people has decreased. I am officially old.

Very true, I went all out with my prescription Oakley riding glasses and it was worth it. No fog ever even in the very Humid Sydney summertime. The Prizm lens fills in shadows it's like cheating. When I ride up to the pub in my normal sunnies it's a drastic difference. When I ride home from the pub vision deteriorates more lol
