6/27/2025 5:09pm Felt this needed an echo to show that Fox is still Fox, inverted or not. You think the forks they sent Vital, PB, and all the other media outlets are like this. š

6/27/2025 5:07pm so you would buy a very heavy fork on the verdict of an advertising review but not a lighter fork from a smaller manufacturer based on positive user reviews?

6/27/2025 5:02pm I haven't had time to watch any of these deep dive videos, so this is a hasty judgement, but I gotta say that products like this make me think we're starting to completely lose the plot of mountain biking. Who wants to spend $2000 on JUST THE FORK for their mountain bike? And that fork likely requires you to get at least a new front wheel, so tack on a few extra benjies at minimum. And in return you get a fork that weighs as much as a DH fork. Look, I've blown a stupid amount of disposable cash on...

2/20/2025 5:39am I've got some bad news: it doesn't matter where the added stack height is located, it's still added stack height. A 180mm post with 20mm of added stack height for a battery and motor at the top of the seatpost is just as tall as a 180mm post with 20mm of added stack height at the collar. At least if the added stack height is integrated at the very bottom of the post some people will be able to slam the post all the way into a deep-insertion seat tube. But for most people, it's probably just added stack height.

2/18/2025 4:58pm Personally, I find their sizing wonky - new Oso, Ripley, and Ripmo included (read the full post and I'll also explain why their geo might make sense too). While obviously some people who always ride large frames will continue to order the size they normally do without looking at the numbers, I'd wager plenty of people who test ride are sizing down - at least as far as labeled size goes. I looked into the new Ripmo as I searched for a long travel trail bike, but between a long reach (by labeled size) and the not-so-super-steep seat tube angle...

2/5/2025 5:57pm All these new bikes coming out, but is Yeti ever gonna update the SB160? I don't see any reason why they would tbh. I was just marveling how they knocked it out of the park 6 years ago (sb150 basically same) and have been able to just sit back and print money since then, maintaining consumer awareness purely through their race sponsorships. I wonder how long they will be able to go without a refresh...

1/24/2025 7:17am From a photo from the same website looks like a pivot on the chainstay, unless Banshee has something different coming up the current K2S linkage doesn't have a pivot there. But, they also don't do UDH so the axs derailleur checks out. Would be odd to make an ebike and not be able to spec transmission. Does look very Bansheeish though

1/24/2025 7:17am Current ks link doesnāt leave room for a motor. I suspect they are changing their linkage for an e-bike

1/24/2025 5:20am Hit the P2 link a few pages back. Could this be a new banshee? Not aware of anyone else using drop outs like this. Looks to have a pivot point near the axle now.

1/17/2025 5:22am Can we give up on the Gwin going anywhere but riding a Crestline this year? The guy literally owns the company (or a part of it at least) why would he be out there promoting other brands in the same market segment as his own company.

1/17/2025 5:14am For me, the best trait of the Pinion gearbox is shifting gears without pedaling, or in the air. Imagine a jump or a hard braking zone into a tight corner. Click - click - click while you focus on braking and dropping your heels, and out in the perfect gear you go. I had the luck of testing the smartshift on a car park for a few minutes and became instantly in love with it. Also, removing all that unsprung mass from the rear wheel should make it track better, and get out of the way faster (less flats) Edit...

1/16/2025 4:09am It straight up works. Why change it? Man bike riders are a fickle bunch, not happy when a good product doesn't get updated or revised, not happy when a part constantly changes.
