1/30/2024 3:12am About Aggy, One of his recent stories was teasing his new ride, and the frame layout did look very much like an Evil. Probably bach to them, then.

1/30/2024 3:10am I'd be stoked if Jackson Frew got back on a WCDH team, he's had great results in Crankworx series. Frew/Wallace rumor for WA1 has begun.

1/28/2024 9:56pm I’m relatively new to mtb racing(gonna be my 31st year racing this year) but before I started racing, I was a teenage super fan who studied the history of MTB racing the way normal American jock kids study sportsball. American mtb team sponsorship was historically more about real life brand activation than earned media. 20,000+ people used to go to American mtb races 6-7 times a year just to spectate. The value of the outside industry sponsorship was seen as being in front of those stoked people- driving 3+ hours from home to watch DS, XC, DH. Of the 20,000...

1/28/2024 9:55pm Isn't it a bigger issue that not only is racing sponsored practically only from inside the industry, all the (review) websites are as well (barring a few options with paid subscriptions). Isn't it a bigger issue that a review site is beholden to the companies they are effectively reviewing? Linus Tech Tips for example make a point to have ad revenue streams completely unrelated to companies they actually report on in news and reviews (barring sponsored or showcase content, marked as such). That way you can they can freely objectively report on products without fear their income stream will be...

1/28/2024 3:19am Really interesting you talk about this - been watching a documentary series about Rich Paul (LeBron's agent, friend and business partner) and he's absolutely brutally honest with new NBA players, telling them they've got until 33, so make as much money as possible, invest wisely etc. Only Martin Whiteley I can think of offering that kind of holistic service in "our" world.

1/28/2024 3:18am Few broad (highly speculative) thoughts as it pertains to Santa Cruz. First, I think its a bit of a fool's errand to say a brand is no longer "core" because they've grown or a more affluent buyer all of a sudden has taken interest. Yeah, maybe its a little bit of a sell-out type of thing to see 52 year old dentists driving Sprinter vans owning your product, but my Brother in Christ, this is capitalism. To a degree this is the point. To add, the entire company is owned by a multinational conglomerate. So any thoughts of "soul" or...

1/28/2024 3:16am No skin in the game, but: Josh "Loosedog" Lewis is now on Scor Dan "Donny Solja" Paley is on Giant. Craig Evans on Airdrop Once Bryceland broke off Santa Cruz, it sort of opened the floodgates. There are still quite a few of the crew on PON brands, but they've expanded the collective into its own merch and content "brand" without any real frame company affiliation.

1/28/2024 3:14am Continuing to be the best podcast in mountain biking. One thing I wish racers would do, and Dak by no means is expected to lead the charge here, but if y’all want those salaries to grow, y’all need to nut up and tell the people what you earn. Half of these brands are now owned by some mega publicly traded corporation so it’s not even like there’s an obligation to keep the numbers under a veil of secrecy. You don’t get more when nobody knows what you get.
