Great. I was thrilled with the variety of parts, because it kinda said that you don't give a fuck about snobbery and what is ”meant” to be on the bike, very much feelgood vibes. Cheers, man!

Look at the pictures. That is Deore XT chainset all day long. I edited the above. I meant to write ”pedals”, but I wrote ”brakes” instead.

I love it how the other Hope parts on the bike are only the pedals! Honestly.

Dude, when the man said ”influencers”, he actually meant the people who PUT IN THE WORK and changed our bikes for the good, not some guys from YouTube, who turn some knobs and are all in for the news. Before there were influencers of today, followed on social media, the people who were influencing stuff were the ones who worked...

Chris Canfield with his CBF. Canfield was also making high pivot idler bikes that worked, way before it was cool. I am not sure why CBF hasn't caught on more over the years as it is a pretty amazing platform that is a good compromise of plushness and efficiency.

Presta and Schrader are minor things. I have been a Presta hater some 15-20 years ago, now I put them on all my bikes. However, I have always paid attention to put tubes with Schrader valves, if possible, on bikes that I built or repaired for friends, thinking that the people who are not so much into MTB as I...

What I find remarkable is that in this age of instant access and smartphones, Gwin’s program (and there must be a plan of some kind in place) hasn’t been leaked here or elsewhere already. The freckle detectives would have certainly figured something out by now. I guess off-season secret testing is easier when you have the keys to the local bike park. Anyhoo, I’d love the Yeti rumors to be true. It would be so rad to see him back in turquoise, and on that new bike. Wouldn’t this be the second time that Gwin and Graves are Yeti teammates?

Regarding suspension, except Leitner, you also have to think about Jim Busby of GT, as the RTS was probably the first mass produced full suspension bike that actually worked. Then came the LTS, which was popular for good reason, and the i-Drive, that was maybe the first effort to properly isolate suspension movement from the transmission, as early as 1999...

As far as I know, Gary Fisher has influenced MTB geometry twice: once in the 80's and then exactly in 1998, when Fisher bikes were the first to have longer top tubes and shorter stems plus shorter chainstays. They called it the Genesis geometry back then. Bikes typically had 120-135 mm stems on medium/large sized bikes, Fishers sported 80 mm...

I don't know exactly what kind of injury Gwin had, but I've had an elbow injury myself. Fell awkwardly at the end of the season, threw my hand out by reflex and had my arm facing the wrong way. Immediately tucked it back and began running and screaming. End of the radius was shattered plus the ligaments. Had surgery beginning...

Wyn Masters on the Italian Gravity Cartel Rogue Racing team managed/owned by Leonardo Pedoni, which looks like a group of privateers pooling there $$ togerther. https://www.uci.org/team-details/20024 "Team" mates with the Denim Destroyer Davide Palazzari. Edit: Davide is not the Denim Destroyer. My mistake. There goes the rumor that he would be managing a privateer team.

Can anyone confirm if today truly is UCI team announcement day? Ahm giitin' all jittery. PS, I would like to suggest we refer to this day, whenever it is, as: 'Listmas'.

I want one rear axle size (148 is fine), no internal hose routing cause maintenance, 20mm fork axles, and dual crown forks down to 170mm. This is my big personal one frames need to come stock with higher quality better water resistant bearings. I want to be able to blast mud off a bike. Oh and no torx fasteners at all / metric hex under 3mm. Oh and open bath forks for better lubrication. Im still pulling for gearboxes too Sure I'll think of more.

I haven’t had problems with Centerlock or 6bolt but I agree we don’t need both.
