10/4/2024 12:57pm For simplicities sake I'll be using the king crab's pricing from this site: https://fishmanmkt.com/pages/market-prices WeAreOne: 39.53 lbs - $1976.10 Intense: 41.8 lbs lbs - $2089.58 Greg's Norco: 45.15 lbs - $2257.04 Gracie's Norco: 43.28 lbs - $2163.56 Transition: 39.37 lbs - $1968.10 Trek: 42.57 lbs - $2128.92 Giant: 39.29 lbs - $1964.10 Crestline - 39.88 lbs - $1993.60 Atherton - 40.32 lbs - $2015.59 Gamux - 44.62 lbs - $2230.55 Pivot - 36.38 lbs - $1818.63 Personally I'd love to pay crab pricing rather than the pricing we have now. Which of these athletes would consider trading to me their...

8/19/2024 1:52pm My most recent was on a Santa Cruz frame and Willy did right by me. My first ever was on a set of OG Race Face cranks. They were the supposedly "Forged." ones. After two sets cracked within the first month I said send me anything else. I got a BB and a t-shirt. The BB exploded on the first ride and I have never bought another Race Face product. I gave the shirt away.

8/14/2024 12:42pm Probably because the UCI won't drop any more track disciplines to make room for it. Personally, I'm glad for it. DH currently has enough on it's plate without having to cosy up to the IOC.

8/14/2024 12:41pm " Top 5 ranked in the Continental Series or 3 riders from a federation can compete." That's at least what Spomer said in the original post for how many 'privateers' or riders not on factory teams will have access to race each round. Having a privateer team that facilitates parts, mechanics, pit space, etc., would be sweet. I know that happens in Supercross (can't remember the name of the team.) I don't think ESO/WBD really cares about privateers enough to make this happen, and the underdog story will always come to fruition once a season. I don't think we need...

8/14/2024 12:36pm Went to read the current rules and highlighted them below. Nothing about the team stuff has changed - it has been 15+5, and will continue to be. Rest your pitchforks on that. Protected riders going away good or bad, I don't know, I suppose the current top riders will have to put a bit more effort into qualies? The team kit color stuff has always excluded DH teams, guess they added DH back in. Nothing else really, Top 50 or National winner or continential top 3 whatever can compete makes sense - they want only the top athletes competing in...

mickey Liked a reply to forum topic Would You Be in Favor of a Universal Seatpost Diameter Standard?
8/4/2024 12:46pm Don’t we still want metal bicycles from time to time? The main reason seatposts are the diameters that they are are because they roughly correlate with the internal diameter of round tubes you buy from industrial suppliers. messing too much with the seatube diameter requires machining collars you plug weld into the tube to recieve the desired diameter.

jeff.brines Liked a forum topic Poll: Electric shifting vs mechanical shifting
8/1/2024 11:53am As electronic shifting becomes more ubiquitous, I'm curious what the VitalMTB community thinks of this technology. There are already a handful of threads around here with a debate between electric and mechanical shifting, so I'd rather ask in a specific thread. I'll hold my thoughts to later in this thread, but if anyone has any nuanced thoughts, I'd love to hear them.

matt? Started a new thread GT LaBomba / Cannondale Dave recall
7/29/2024 12:22pm Just posting this here as I can't find it on Vital anywhere. GT have recalled the 2019-23 LaBomba frames, and Cannondale have recalled Dave from 2021-23. They have the same parent company, so the assumption is that they are the same frame with different stickers. GT link UK Gov link for GT Cannondale link

matt? Added a reply to Slopestyle Riders Boycott Crankworx Rotorua Because of Low Prize Pay, Lack of Appearance Fee
3/23/2024 9:39am Because it's not been posted in here yet, here's the statement from the riders: Dear fans and supporters of Slopestyle. As you will have heard, we, as the full field of male Slopestyle riders at Crankworx Rotorua, have made a joint, but very tough, decision to not take part in official competition tomorrow. But we will be at the event...
matt? Added a comment about photo Loic Bruni-3
8/27/2022 10:05am Came here to look for this too. Nothing to see in the pit bits photos. Difficult to see if it's a shifter or just a light, but it's related to something where a quick glance is needed every once in a while
