That's hust the key, if it's shrunk to a point where it doesn't make sense to put out a bike on the market (a-la Yeti), but if it still has marketing potential, why not make a spaceship of a bike? A different bike for every rider on the team? Etc.? Maybe recoup the development costs with a run of 20 'one-off' bikes, custom made for the buyer who can spec the geometry the way he pleases. Make a marketing thing out of it. Mercedes, through sponsorships and prize money, paid 30 million for the F1 team in total in 2019...

we totally got the point, BUT some dude from Switzerland wrote "the team manager of ms has personaly wanted danny back. He needs someone to put pressure on laury to finaly start winning more frequently" and we simply want to state that this is not the case. It's one thing to do some random guessing and share speculations, but another thing to make a bad joke on the back of riders.

that's sucks so bad. Especially makes it really tough for riders travelling a long ass way eg. Australia, New Zealand. I was in Windham 2014 WC filming Vital Raw. top 80 was only seperated by 12 seconds. Pretty tough not knowing if you'll be doing the wc the following weekend logistically. Supporting amateurs on the cusp of turning pro is such a critical time in a racers career.

I was triggered by your initial question. The entire reason recent Fox CSU's creak is because in 2015 when they released the new 36 they made the crown 10mm lower at the steerer tube to minimize ATC height for the new taller 27.5 and 29" forks. The old 26" 36 forks had a super-tall bombproof crown, and there are still 2007 36 forks on dirt jump bikes around the world that don't creak, whereas my brand new 2020 36 creaked after three rides. All the while 10mm of axle to crown height doesn't really affect ride quality- just run one...
