Another really great review. The octal rating and graph is really cool and a nice graphical and overall measure. This has me really looking forward to my new Banshee Titan build. Was thinking of paring the Titan with a tallboy 4 and still think that might go great but looks the Phantom would also be great and maybe would be even better?

My advice to people: do not weigh your bikes - unless you're trying to build up a hill-climb specific bike. There have been a lot of tests and studies about bike weight, and the consensus is, it doesn't matter nearly as much as people think it does. For some reason, we all still think trail bikes should be ~28lbs, it's been that number for as long as I can remember. It was that number when I worked at shops - before we had dropper posts and tire choices beyond: folding, wire bead, or DH. When forks had 30 or 32mm...

I really wish mountain biking had some sort of "draft day" where all this shit is unveiled at once. The slow trickle of news is making for a really anti-climatic feeling to all this.

Not typical team news but Ruaridh Cunningham working for the EWS as sports coordinator, pretty stoked for him, he's a awesome rider and super nice guy but he has been having a tough time with injuries/illness the last few years.

Also, it looks like Canyon put all that money in the press release, but ran out of money to pay for those vowels in their new name. "CLLCTV" - seriously?

Just chatting to Ben Cathro after the pinkbike announcement and a name came up when talking about frames. Superstore brand, wanting to be taken seriously so looks to a media company, begins with H and rhymes with Puffy (Not Hoodfellaz)

Saddleback is the Intense distributor and I have heard nothing in the way of that changing, what I can speak to, is Saddleback is also our partner/distributor in the UK for Troy Lee Designs, and a fantastic partner at that. The team was funded solely through saddleback, a monumental effort, we applaud their efforts the last couple years. As for TLD and Saddleback, its business as usual and continued growth.

LOL. This entire post shows how little you know about the sport and little time you've spent between the tape. I've been in the grey on the Richie/Graves thing the whole time. In fact, if anything, I've been super critical of Richie, mostly because his apology wasn't all that accountable. That said its 100% undeniable he's an incredibly gifted and talented bike handler with the grit and work ethic to back it up. There is no "system" of doping at Yeti. I'd bet every dollar I have on that one. The only shady things they do is arrange shuttles that...

This is Not A Good Take (tm), and just displays a lack of empathy on your part. I'm baffled that I need to point that out. Maybe you can toss these professionals looking for a ride some bootstraps while you're at it. Maybe what I'm saying is that the media requirements are different than when magazines were the primary advertising vehicle. But, yeah, a capable young athlete who isn't necessarily adept at curating views and followers on social media should just give up and go work at the convenience store with you. Makes sense.
