It's actually not that bad price wise. Could see myself doing the same instead of trying to sell a used 930, as they aren't worth much second hand. This is a cool way to keep it rolling, instead of having it lay in the back of the shed for years.

Fully manufactured in Europe, instead of by child hands in some Chinese sweatshop does affect the price a bit. I'd rather save up for a year to afford buying this over any other current carbon bike on the market, though the new GG Trail Pistol is also quite tempting.

That's standard fare on almost all tires today, they barely even bother to list it anymore, as it's considered standard unless you shop for bottom of the barrel budget tires. How well they work, that is something else entirely, in my experience, the best safety is to just run some double ply tires and not bother with trying to force lighter tires to work with some inserts.

Not tried Cushcore but I've tried some other of these foam hoops in the past (Rimpact, Huck Norris, Pepi's and Nukeproof) and don't feel they are worth the hassle. On my hardtail the added damping was definitely noticeable. However, rim protection is still subpar which also seem to worsen overtime as the foam shrinks (a result of the foam being under constant pressure, I suppose). Eventually they start to rattle inside the tire which not only sounds very annoying, but the shrinkage of the foam also reduces the much wanted sidewall support which ultimately, increases the risk of rim strikes...

Very nice bike, but I do have to point out one glaring error. On your second picture, you have shifted to your largest cog, and this isn't allowed on pictures, this had to be said.

Somewhat disappointed that you didn't have the SDG Tellis in this test, as it by far outperforms my much more expensive Fox Transfer post. I'll probably switch my Transfer out for a BikeYoke post of some sort soon-ish, as everyone is praising it so much.
