I think other than Norco, UNNO is the only other team/bike I could see Greg going to. Makes a lot of sense with the Rob connection and giving Greg something to invest in (financial gains long term). But there seems to be a hell of a lot of smoke around Norco + Greg rumor so there must be a fire there.

Unno always made the most sense to me. At this point, GM is probably wanting something to invest in that he can call his own. UNNO Collective focuses on developing new and novel & pulls in outside money to develop new tech, a lot not even bike oriented. With Roskopp having ties there, I can see GM wanting to be rid of the corporate overlords at PON Syndicate & be free to tinker.

My speculation is that last year was planned to be Greg's last season. Based on that and the season Jackson had, Santa Cruz allocated funds to lock Jackson in for a long time. It was stated that Santa Cruz has Jackson locked in for a long term contract and it's clear they view Jackson as their future star. They didn't budget for a 2024 season for Greg. By the time Greg decided that he didn't want to finish on bad season and wanted to race 2024 the team budget was spent. With the struggles at PON and all bike companies...

Id be really interested to have you guys try this bike with a stock Fox coil vs the Sprindex. It has a 20% progression built in to each model, and while they (and others) claim that progressive springs only get firmer at the end of the travel, I and some of my customers have not found this to be the case. It seems that progressive coils can definitely affect the midstroke, especially on bikes that already have significant ramp like the Intense (you guys are using the term falling rate). I was blown away trying Cane Creek coils back-to-back on...

Zink's huge backflip with the wind. He landed just a foot away from the ditch. That would not have ended well. Brendan and Godziek's lines also were playing with death. As was Bienve's two frontflips. Mad respect for this men, but it has become a little too much for me

ESO/Discovery will try to convince us it's the resort that costs so much and thus no pay. But we all know it's not true. They wouldn't buy rights if they didn't have money. I'll make this statement a thousand times over. STOP PUTTING ON EVENTS IF YOU CAN'T RAISE A CASH PRIZE PURSE FOR TOP 20! Your event is a financial failure if it has a National or International draw at all. With DH, we've all fallen into the trap of putting on races so people "have something to race". But in the end, we're selling ourselves short. I think...

Fox US Open of MTB Downhill finals are this Sunday, September 24, at Killington. The start time for the Open class finals is TBD, because the amateur classes start racing at 11:15 with Open women and men starting after all other classes are done, and the amount of time it will take for the amateurs depends on how many racers there are. Last year's men's and women's champs (Norton & Hoffmann) are apparently back this year. No live stream, but apparently Vital will have a replay on its Youtube channel after the races are done. Live timing will be on...

F1 does have feeder categories. And although it's not the model I would want to follow, it does have some merit. There is a women's series (formerly Formula W, now F1 Academy). And Formula 2, the feeder and mostly junior series runs the same tracks the same weekend as Formula 1. So fairly similar to juniors in WCDH now. But I don't think the fixed athlete rosters of F1 works well for DH. I think the qualifying is good for the sport, and allows an unknown rider to come in and qualify at any point in the season. I'm not...

I am pretty sure that not even e-bikers watch this series! :D Otherwise, I believe e-bike contest need to be organised properly by somebody in the now, so they spark interest. Over here, we mostly have some half-assed efforts that mainly run on the same courses like the marathons and XC races they are held together with. But this last weekend we had another kind of beast: a three day stage race with hard and technical climbing and really really good downhills in epic scenery, a prologue as a seeding race and then six special stages. All participants were gassed...

Great race, I loved it! Track turned out to be pretty good. I feel some top riders ran cut spikes when it was already too dry and they paid the price. Gwin in the booth was amazing, insightful and well spoken, and aware of what happened in practice and at previous events, unlike the other two who clearly don't study/prepare enough ahead of race day (which is the key for sport commenting). I am also sorry because he is such a legend of the sport, but I think Gracia's english is not helping him in making his case.

Damn Gwin is a natural in the commentary boot. So well spoken and does not pretend to be talking to casual viewers.

exactly, why else do those ethings exist? If they cant run lifts from high wind, or there is lightning, those are the kind of issues that create umanageable risk, but a slippery track...?
