He didn't hold back when that deal fell through with YT and he even dissed the bikes, now he just looks like a fool if you ask me riding a blacked YT Tues! Surely he could of tried and bought any bike in the world if he wanted or as a freerider do they really get paid that little ?

i agree w/ literally above frolf (is that offensive? don't mean it to be) doesn't require helicopters, dozens of safety/medical staff, logistics with state and federal authorities, not to mention any other host of costs required to run an event like rampage. if disc golf and rampage both raised $1m to run their event, think of how much $$ is left for disc golf prize purse vs rampage after logistics. in no way am i saying rampage athletes shouldn't be rewarded handsomely for their performances, but comparing it to other sport payouts (like video gamers) doesn't go far IMO. rampage...

giant installed the bolt that way intentionally for many years. the reason being was in case the nut loosened and fell off and the bolt started backing out it wouldn't be able to fall out of the frame due to the chain ring. source : giant rep at the shop I helped out at.

Run aluminium nipples, thinner spokes, a lighter rim, a lighter casing front tyre, a lightweight rotor adapter, aluminium carrier rotors, run a stealth axle instead of the toolless Maxle, etc. Or clean your bike if it's dirty. Any one of these points will about make up (or more than make up) for the weight of the buttercups. If you're shaving grams so far, that you're worried about the buttercups, remove the paint from the lowers or go for the Pike instead of the Lyrik. Or the Sid instead of the Pike. Those buttercups are, weight wise, a non-issue. They are...

i understand your thinking and get it based on the risk, but the truth is this segment of bike riding is so small and only really attracts other mtb riders. disc golf is huge in comparison which most anybody can get into for less than $50 and enjoy themselves at. it draws a larger audience and has a larger subset...

IMO, it's a two-way street. Shouldn't someone in Cannondale's marketing team be making an effort to get some benefit out of having Tinker on their roster? I've been around long enough to remember when Tinker was a regular in magazine ads. Obviously marketing strategies have changed, but there are still brands that leverage their athletes by paying photographers, film crews, etc. to produce content that highlights both the athlete and the brand. Sure doesn't seem like Cannondale was doing that... but I'd watch a video about Tinker riding some wild marathon race in South America on the new Lefty fork...

Has nothing to do with ebikes. Morons are morons no matter what they ride. We have guys who will come out and cut in straight lines with tools.

I don’t understand all this hate for ebikes. I don’t own one for the moment but I rented one this summer and I can say that I had a lot of fun. Yes, the engine helps with the climb but you still have to pedal. And the power is the same for all engines…For industry e-bikes segment is gold, I want to ride as long as possible and ebikes are helping us. For all those haters grab an ebike, go out for a ride and get back with feedback. There are a lot of things to improve but keep in...

Check out Matt Studdards insta story. He’s posted an official message from Mr Ball specifically saying do not cut the gates! Someone somewhere needs to have Rudes back when it comes to team briefings. A good manager makes sure that their rider knows EXACTLY what they can and cannot do. Either Rudes arrogance allows him to think he can take a chance and not get caught or someone is letting him down. If I was a team manager I would be briefing my riders regularly so all they need to worry about is riding.

Seems they could've just given a time penalty but the UCI commissaire chose to disqualify them.

This past weekend my son and I raced a local enduro with some big miles and stages with a decent amount of pedalling. In the pro category I raced 22 miles with about 4500ft of vertical. So between the 2 days (training and racing) it was a big weekend. I don't really race that much anymore but this one race I like because of how big it is. In my opinion its what enduro should be. Big days, self reliant with a good mix of tech, fast, pedalling and a huge dose of ENDURance. However this year I noticed a...

Do stop trying to come up with fancy ways of saying bike. Its bike and ebike. We don’t need anything more. Not “acoustic”. Not “analog” (or analogue). Not “pedal only”. Inventing new ways of saying bike just makes us all look like cretins. Surely you don’t think that anyone is that stupid that they don’t understand the difference.

So I captured some freeze frames and I think the tire comes off before the wheel drops into the hole it explodes in. Why the tire is coming off, I don't know, but the wheel looks normal in the first photo with the tire starting to peel off. Maybe he lost pressure, pushed around that tree and peeled it off. A rim without a tire would be expected to detonate. https://imgur.com/a/9Faz4vJ
