2/25/2026 3:09am There's a new RockShox spare parts catalog out, and there's some nice vice blocks listed in the new Boxxer section. Their description gives this text: 10 mm for Pike / SID / Lyrik / ZEB air shaft, Charger damper shaft, 14 mm for Lyrik / ZEB / BoXXer air shaft, 25 mm for Rush Damper IFP, 27.3 mm for Charger...

2/19/2026 1:40pm Mountain bikers HATE that four bar doesn't mean what they think it means. horst? 4 bar. DW? 4 bar. VPP? 4 bar. Maestro? 4 bar. linkage driven single pivot? 4 bar. Delta? 4 bar. First gen Yeti Switch? 4 bar. It goes on. It's a pointlessly generic term to use and if you use it then nobody is really sure exactly what you mean. It's like calling your tire a wheel. "but mountain bikers use the term differently!"... Differently than what it means? Cool...

2/18/2026 1:48am So they don’t use a control pad or a control rotor? Their test setup photos don’t look like they properly apply the force to the pocket of the brake lever either. Junk science all around IMO.

2/18/2026 1:48am WTB were first/earlier with this particular concept. Can confirm, they work great. Dynaplug is still the best though IMO. Advantage to WTB being you can forgo the suppository and just apply the plug with a 4mm hex. The CB looks fiddly with trying to push the diamond through without it rotating.

2/7/2026 3:23pm Cuz when a friend gives you the levers and keeps the calipers you end up with the levers and not the calipers

1/29/2026 3:48pm The more important question should be what does it gain you. Magnetorheological suspension works with cars because you can set it soft for the street and hard for the track. Bikes more or less just work. And we also have the option of a lockout. Then there's flightattendant. Other than marketing, what does it genuinely add?

1/28/2026 9:28am Brendog got added to the previously mentioned XX DH page. We can see the top of the new Boxxer's adjuster when digging in the URLs for a higher res. Looks like a single digit, so probably 4?

1/25/2026 2:50pm Now? I've been on MTBR long enough to witness the crash outs 10+ years ago. always remember, you are wrong, will always be wrong and you don't know shit about anything when it comes to suspension grand wizard Dougal (doctor, engineer, inventor, ONZ)

1/24/2026 3:54pm That guy continues to strive for the asshole of the year award. Any validity of his opinion has been removed by that kneepad/short gap and that’s even before we talk about his “low IQ” dismissal of everyone who dares to disagree with him 😂

1/21/2026 1:14am I dunno, I haven't tried any of them. He certainly has a similar idea, and Reece was already using Rulezman stem. Just because he's cringey af doesn't make him wrong lol. I just thought it was an interesting video from a high level rider

1/13/2026 3:25am Tucking isn't the best guide to go by, as there are often sections where you would want to tuck, but can't as you have to pump or absorb bumps etc. If you imagine aero farings on a bike, the leogang motorway. Ft bill motorway and the lake placids lower section would all be faster with a more aero setup. By how much? Wed have to test Also the brake covers were made for temp management and keeping the grit out, not for aero, but they may have been repurposed now.
