I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I want a podium just to slap on a set of these and relive my 2002 childhood dreams

Other random bits and bobs from yesterday: 1. Danny Hart-esque custom hub end cap to deal with brake/wheel/frame flex on an unknown to me Canyon junior men’s bike. 2. Close ups of Jordan Williams brakes on his ebike as he and Loic were track scouting dueing Q2. Probably nothing new to see here, but prove me wrong. I didn’t peel the tape off the lever but I did think about it. 3. The craziest cassette you’ll ever see on Benoit Colanges’ bike. Also, the whole Scott team is on Rimpact chain dampers, which was interesting.

Troy had some cool insight during his track walk—planning to run suspension in Flight Attendant's middle 'Pedal' mode; talked about removing the seat and chain stay bridges if the track stays dry and slippery to help with traction. Also at 6:21 they show a section of track that has a pad to mark the inside of the track, but there is also a pole up against the pad to mark the outside of the track. It seems they're making it extra clear that you have to stay between the poles. The marking in that section is visually confusing though as...

Can I patent the ole one eye squint? For real tho, equalizing the gap on each side between the sanctions and bars is way easier than aligning the stem with the tire.

Talking about weights, I just ran some numbers from a test I did with and without BB weights. Same trail, no changes besides 1000g on bb. Using Syn data and 6 axis IMU on axles and BB recording 2000 times per second. 1. Rear Axle vertical Acceleration with weight Positive Acceleration: Decreased by ~1.93% Negative Acceleration: Decreased by ~3.18% 2. BB frame vertical Acceleration with weight Positive Acceleration: Decreased by ~0.54% Negative Acceleration: Decreased by ~5.48% Yes there’s always negatives to adding weight, but just giving an idea of what I found.

Yes many factors with axle thickness can play a roll. The clamps make a giant change as well. The dorado going from 1 bolt upper to 2 bolt upper added a lot of torsional rigidity.

Rob warners latest video of a factory visit to hope In the last part of the vid he shoves his camera close to the back of the bike, and then says "oops lets not zoom in too much" Not sure if he hints at the brake or the derailleur, is that the new saint derailleur or another brand? Also, the brakes "GB4" not a brake currently in Hopes lineup afaik, so is that possibly the new name for the ones spotted earlier in this thread? The ones with a bleed port in the lever?
