I have literally been trying to file a third-party preissuance submission with the US Patent Office for 2 hours but their website and phone menus are dogshit so I'm giving up. It would have been hilarious if submitting a pdf of vital comments is what got a patent not approved. Anyone got contacts at SRAM? Would be good to at least contact them lol.

IRCC, according to publications that have tested more than 1 brand of radials, schwalalabe radials are on the more extreme end of the radial design spectrum. They require MORE psi than the other brands suggest, and they are directed more to technical riding than jump laps. Spesh seems to have nailed a middle ground with theirs, and when my Maxxis...

Pressures seem way off. I'm 150lb and on my trail casing running 25/28 on a 140 trail bike. On a heckler (assumed 50lb) at 210 lbs, wolftooth calculator you should be running 30-34psi. I recommend dowloading the app "tire pressure calculator" from wolftooth. Put in radial as the casing type. It seems to be pretty accurate for me. I have time on Schwalbe Trail Radial and Specialized Gravity Radial. I would say the latter is more similar to a regular tire, with better support. Additionally with Spec they recommend "normal" pressures, so I have been at 22/24, and works well...

Known issue for people your weight and especially riding an e-bike. You need to be on Schwalbe's Gravity Pro casing, not the Trail Pro casing. Even more so if you'r hitting jumps/riding high g-force trails/berms. Will give you much better stability in those situations and also allow you to run lower pressures. Anything over ~27psi on that Schwalbe Trail casing can start to feel balloon-y/bouncy. Switch to Gravity Pro casings for a more appropriate setup for you. The new Gravity Pro was beefed up further from the original one, for just the type of examples you're not liking the tires...

Commencal quietly dropped the Tempo "V2" with the only revision being they got rid of the headset cable routing. (praise be!)

Bike industry: 32" might make sense for tall people! Also the bike industry: Lots of small and medium 32" frames, no XXL frames.

If you don’t have a compressor use a tube to seat both sides of the tire, deflate and carefully pop only one side of the tire bead and remove the tube, put in the tubeless valve stem add a insert if needed and put on the other side of the tire. 9/10 times it works every time with a standard floor pump. -I’ll add the sealant thought the valve stem last, that way if your pump sucks or screw something up you don’t have to deal with sealant leaking out on the way to the gas station/mate with a compressor

If you're using tire levers to mount, never go all the way up, just go to 90° relative to the rim or so and then rock the lever out to the side. You won't damage your tape this way. Some rim and tire combos will work best with two layers of tape, especially if it's a looser fit, but a tight fit is better with one layer. Don't use anything from muc off, valves, tape or sealant.

Must we, every 3 months, have this same tired drivetrain discussion. You like what you like, I like what I like. No one cares. Start a new topic if you guys want to duke it out about how terrible the wireless world is. Back to the rumors: 30T ochains on more builds in the future from a few brands.

New SRAM stuff is prohibitively expensive. Still buy and use GX Eagle. Why would I need anything else? I’m a gravity rider…my derailleur goes through hell. The last thing I want is to put a $600 derailleur on my bike. Upgrades to shifting? It’s a drivetrain…I click the shifter and the chain changes gear. What is there to upgrade?

Yeah Evil Following will be a 430 chainstay across the sizes. This way all the tall riders can proclaim how playful it is while the small riders get to feel what a balanced bike is like.

They're making a "true mullet" from what I hear. Gonna be 32" rear wheel and a 24" front. Just a render from a brand look-book, but pretty polarizing.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them utilize a TQ 120 in a new ebike.
