6/4/2026 8:25am I used to be all about flip chips and adjustments but now I see them as a great way to lose half you season trying to find “the perfect setting” instead of just learning to ride the bike.

6/4/2026 8:24am Extremely hot take in the bad way lol. Marin makes awesome bikes, I regularly check them out. Transition as well, albeit a little spendier but also more dialed (imo). The only reason I don’t buy either is because I already own a 6 year old Norco that has given me zero reasons to spend money on a new bike,

6/3/2026 1:12pm What makes you say that? I think similar bikes have been super well received lately. The two that come to mind are the bottle rocket and the marin quake. Both bikes are similar basic and people are hype.

6/3/2026 5:58am As someone who, for 20+ years, got at least 1 new bike every year, I haven’t purchased a new bike in almost 3 years. I feel like 90% of bikes in the last 5 or so years have been great. So much so, that I’m actually considering buying the last gen Norco Optic as my next trail bike. Coming into 2026 I was convinced I would get a “New” full suspension frame this year. While I’m sure I’d be happy with the new Tallboy, Reya, or Ranger, it’s hard to justify the $$$$ for a new frame when I can...

6/3/2026 5:42am Norco's YT Short for the Torrent DH is up. Doesn't give much away about the bike itself.

6/3/2026 5:39am Man… this forum is screwed. Everything is turning crab, each new product launch is 1.25% better than the shitty unusable last generation, and now we are discussing solar capabilities on an ai bike that will more than likely be a kickstarter scam. The future looks great! 😃

5/29/2026 5:35am Has anyone heard about an updated SB160? Thought I saw someone mention they spotted the proto on a ride last year... curious if it's around the corner.

5/27/2026 9:06am Have not noticed any significant drag on my OneUp hubs but keeping that in the back pocket as an excuse the next time I'm last up the climb on a group ride.

5/20/2026 6:29am Lots of talk about how it's 300g lighter, but in nearly the same XT di2 build, the intense spider is .2 lbs lighter than the Tallboy and 1400 dollars cheaper.

5/13/2026 12:26pm Don't feel bad. Life is political. Politics isn't some small aspect of existence that can be sequestered into a couple days just before elections. It is literally everywhere all the time having huge impacts on people's lives. Bike materials are political. Trail access is political. The ability to afford a bike - and therefore the folding or flourishing of the mountain bike industry - is political. The existence of rural hospitals is political. Ebike motors are political. The efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle plastics is political. Is there any sort of innovation in that lane brands should be looking...
