SC has never been afraid to charge "dentist" prices for their wares as they were the first to roll a mountain bike out for $10k nearly ten years ago. I'm a dentist and I would not buy one prêt-a-porter. I had a recent discussion with a pal who felt priced out by today's bike costs. However, the truth remains that if you have patience, flexibility and are a smart shopper you can get what you are looking for at much lower costs. If I was starting with a blank slate and wanted to spend less to get something with nearly...

Doesn't the back wheel look a bit small for a 29er?

5/6/2022 3:56am Just noticed Breeden riding the old JS tuned carbon intense on his insta with what looks like BYB telemetry on the Fox40. Maybe doesn't like the prototype, or just getting some back to back comparisons for Ft Bill 🤔

I just love ultra arrogant comments like this. Parking lots full of mechanics, techs, engineers...you name it. They're all meticulously doing installs and getting right "most" of the time. All of them have the same if not more knowledge than Alex here. But somehow he's the one person who has decided it's all so simple and we just don't learn so good and it's us...not the infinitely variable tire/rim/insert/lube/angle/incline/tool/temp combo slowing the process down. And me with my brand new Maxxis Shorty & EX511 wheel strolls over to a dude who just popped 3 wheels in a row onto bikes...

Unfortunately, his stint with GT was marred by injury. JvK definitely made his distinct mark on the World Cup. Very few get a moniker in our sport and his was absolutely unique (thanks to Cathro for coming up with it). He was definitely fast and was also European champion at one point. If you ever find yourself in the trails of Southern Tirol, look around and you might see a really fast dude in jeans shredding away.

So was it something similar to a gym pre workout? I remember those guys being sponsored by Ryno power. But regards to all that, the past is the past. Jared is passionate about the sport, and has contributed a lot to it over the year. I don’t think mountain biking needs to jump on the ‘cancel society’ band wagon.

Jared used a sports supplement that had minute traces of banned stimulants that wasn’t in the ingredients list. He has used legal sports supplements most of his career and unfortunately didn’t think to verify there weren’t ingredients that were either labeled differently or not at all. Richie was having a great race (he won every stage that race) and was dehydrated so Jared gave him water that had the tainted supplement in it. The uci decided his culpability was therefore less so that and the punishment of vacating his win is why his ban was shorter. If you’ve never ever...

Thanks so much for the opportunity to chat Spomer. I’m so sorry for all you have gone through as well and I appreciate you being willing to share. I hope that people are able to come away from this with the understanding that we are all in the midst of such a complex situation and at the end of the day we should try to treat each other with compassion and understanding. Many of us have different life, political, and religious beliefs and that’s one of the things that makes the world so special. As long as we are able...

Damn... Things went heavy real fast... Spomer, sorry for your loss... Kyle, great to hear things have been improving for you.. Both mentally and physically.. I remember someone going off on you calling you an anti-vaxer on your IG and I was like "Did you miss the part where he got the shot?" I was also someone that encouraged you to step away from the social media and focus on yourself.. Keyboard courage brings out ugliness in people.. Keep telling your story.. One sided discussions are rarely productive.

I'm not at all an e-bike advocate but looking at what they did doesn't really bother me. It's basically a sentinel with a motor. I could be wrong but I'm assuming that there wasn't a huge amount of cost involved in the design. It seems like all these manufacturers are hopping on the ebb boat because it makes them a shit load of money. If they are able to make some cash off this thing and dump it into still making sweet bikes, and paying cool riders, and making cool videos, then it seems like some pretty sound logic.
