Paper products from Germany can only mean one thing, new fork day! This is the Intend Flash 35, it can be run from 160mm to 190mm. Very similar to the Edge; but with a more robust crown, longer legs, and slightly different uppers. After initial riding and then a full tear down and inspection, there will be some parallel testing with a 35mm Boxxer. Both forks will be run at 190mm of travel on a DH bike. The capability of the 170mm inverted forks at Angel Fire was so impressive that a direct comparison of a longer travel version to...

Radial update: Went out earlier with my brother, went down to 24psi front and rear (front is super soft MM gravity pro radial, rear is a soft Tacky Chan in gravity) I've never been able to really keep up with him, and I started off feeling really slow, but when I warmed up I started catching up to him, which never happens. We both agreed to go full race pace and I was still catching up to him, provided I didn't make any mistakes or anything. He says his front and rear were both sliding at points (he runs a...

The PUSH Industries Nine. One Specifications 150mm-170mm travel (10mm steps), 36mm stanchions, bushing overlap 145mm, coil sprung, 15mm floating axle, pneumatic bottom out control, weight 2960g, Chassis The 9.1 crown is large with massive overlap on the 44.5mm aluminum upper legs which are bonded in. Specialized developed a fully bonded alloy crown/stanchion system for the E160 fork around 2010 while I was a member of the engineering group. It is a great alternative to the traditional press fit assembly method for a fork CSU, and in some ways superior. The moto inspiration for the 9.1 design is apparent, the fork lugs...

so I did a good bit of manual URL scouring on the fox service site in the days I was waiting for mine to arrive, but didn't find anything more than the user manual. Once it showed up I just gave fox a call and asked them about manuals, they said there aren't going to be full service manuals for likely 3-6 months. Their reasoning was any time they release a new product like this, they want to be doing any immediate work needed themselves, so that they can know if anything is going on with the forks. I understand...

+ 1 on the mavens to be the one to rule them all. My set has been flawless and hasnt been touched and i dont even have to worry about aftermarket pads or different rotors as the whole package is pretty much perfect to me. When i first got my new bike with mavens on i wasnt pleased at all. I have been on the dominion bandwagon for a long time. After ridding the mavens for a while now i must say i got used to them. I put the contact point almost all the way in wich made it...

Fine if you feel that way, but I try to ask for riders opinions on the current state of the sport and also anything happening inside so people from the outside can learn more, Finns response was great and a lot people enjoyed his opinions. I interview riders who are doing well in the race, on race day my video is to tell the story of the race. I can't make a judgement on a case where no one actually knows the full story, and we never will it seems, so until then I will interview the riders who performed...

First off, I don't think each fork has been taken apart by Jordi personally and sprinkled with fairy dust or anything, but the idea that they would spend all that money on a press camp and then just give the reviewers production line fresh, never checked forks seems wild to me. I'm not suggesting in any way that 1 in 20 forks has issues, but I bet 1 in 200 isn't the best example of the girls and not one that they would want in the hands of the reviewers. You think they are willing to take the 1 in...

My perspective is that Fox knows what it has on their hands and until other competitors catch up, the demand will be there to justify the cost. In my opinion, we're also at an inflection point in the industry where e-bikes adoption is really taking off (like it or not). The target market for eebs seem to have the disposable...

Yes, I did get the 9.1 fork back from PUSH and promptly took both forks to Angel Fire for 3 days. I have lots of data and info on them and am in the process of putting it all together in a post or two. To address some other things that have come up recently; @TEAMROBOT @sspomer If you guys at Vital MTB really want to test product, you should have someone not affiliated with Vital purchase it. This is the only way you can be sure you get product similar to what the true consumer does. I worked at...

Riding today and realized as I was pumping and carving through rolling turns why I love long cs bikes: I can pump and carve through rolling turns at the same time and keep traction at both tires. Before I made the change to my bike I kind of had to pick one: if I was weighting the rear I lost the front, and if I was weighting the front it made it hard to actively pump. Being able to weight my feet and carve through turns means I can actively pump in and out of the turn. Lower grade turns...
