Ehm - BikeYoke, 77Designz/Kavenz, Pinion, Rohlhoff, the list goes on. I can't do even without frikking Knipex or Wera. I don't know many other countries that can make boring tools sexy, maybe the Japanese? Oh, and let's not forget about the Crab Link - the sexiest suspension design ever?

I designed that out of Super Deluxe Coil- we measured 'solid' height of bumpers (I think at our test lab max of 5,000 lbf) and designed stroke length around that. So a RS SDLXC 65 stroke should actually get close to 65mm stroke if you smash it hard enough. Remove the bumper and measure the shaft- should be maybe 1-2mm longer than the stroke length. Edit- also agree with Darren about data... I'd probably do the test blind and look at data after ranking everything. Then maybe see if you can make improvements based on data comparison?

If you're in town and want to ride, hit me up. I live near Santa Monica (in the Palms neighborhood of LA). Having said that, most of the trails closest to your office in Santa Monica burned in the recent fires, so it will require driving and potentially being stuck in the worst traffic this side of Jakarta. The best stuff is farther, but as Spomer pointed out Rocky Peak in Simi Valley is sick and benefits from a very real, very modern bike, and isn't that far. The other thing I'll warn is that riding here without a local...

Kavenz also uses modular dropouts that retain compatability with UDH. As you alluded to, solutions are out there. Just a matter if those solutions play nice with the brands' industrial design.

Almost looks like they're going to sell an entire rear end to convert an existing frame to high pivot(?) Looks like a green carbon frame + Cascade high pivot rear end.

While I'm here. Is it rude to spread my own rumors? Yesterday I released v2 Digit frames. I don't have a marketing plan so for now I've just posted a list of improvements here: digitbikes.com/blog/changeblog. I'm also going to start selling a frame-only option, and an aluminum wheel build.

Shout out big privilege, he's a good dude. Always up at mountain creek, just a normal dude that likes riding bikes (with a rap career). I love that it he brings representation for a minority in our sport.

The weightweenies thread that was linked earlier with the XTR Di2 is now updated with the new XTR brakes as well. Looks nice https://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=171477&start=60

Before I started making bikes, I had a variety of different designs, but had always preferred single pivots. They just felt more lively and engaging to ride. And even thought I was doing a bit of racing, I felt this was most important. It's never the bike that is slowing me down, so a bike that I felt most confident on was always going to make me the fastest. I think I nailed geometry pretty early on via quite a bit of testing of different variations. But pretty much for the whole of Starling's time, geometry has remained unchanged. We've...

Hit the P2 link a few pages back. Could this be a new banshee? Not aware of anyone else using drop outs like this. Looks to have a pivot point near the axle now.

Dropouts really look similar, axle seems a bit optimized but is there a pivot on the bottom? Another crab?

I guess with DNIS brakes you skip steps 2 & 3 and go straight to neglect?

I think they did, but were filming for Pitted for the other site. I miss dialed, but tbf Pitted was pretty good and a refreshing take.

FWIW I bumped into Jordi on a flight this summer and asked about Dialed; he was not optimistic to say the least.

Could this be a maxxis radial casing of some sort? Heard a lot about something new from maxxis in the b-practice (mostly Dak being tricked by Jason into talking about it) There must be more brands than schwalbe working on this technology for sure

Speaking on large capital spend + world cup racing precense... the announcement of Jenny Rissveds moving on from Ibis to Canyon caught my attention. It could be a nothingburger and just another contract move, but Ibis seems to be progressively leaving the racing scene in a time shortly following their large CAPEX investment with the opening up of their new...
