4/16/2025 7:56am Cool to see you diversify your offerings. I rented with Bandago 5-6 years ago to take a handful of my friends to Yosemite. The crew was great to work with.

4/10/2025 8:08pm Did a little bit of searching on this and the USA Customs and Borders Protection actually have some rulings on this and consider the bicycle frame to be the main part of a complete bicycle and therefor the defining part for the designated country of origin for a complete bike. So if the frame is made in mainland china, painted in Taiwan and then assembled in Vietnam it would still be considered as Made in China product. https://rulings.cbp.gov/ruling/N302992 https://rulings.cbp.gov/ruling/735368 Regarding Canada, we have a Trans-Pacific free trade agreement but that includes only Vietnam, Malaysia and Japan. China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Cambodia...

4/8/2025 1:12pm Around me where we ride alot of state parks, there is no one giving tickets, but there is swath of people who don't want bikes on any of the trails. They love to conflate any poor interaction to anyone who rides bikes. We have tons of mutli use paths that connect trails. Its gone take one bad accident and we may lose bikes in our parks. They don't care if its EMBT or what class. Its a bike to them. I don't understand why anyone needs to go that fast pedaling. Commuter on road, sure.I was trying to figure out...

4/8/2025 12:11pm gonna play devil's advocate x1000 here about levo speeds with the explicit mention that i don't care if anyone anywhere buys one, i would NEVER buy one (who has nearly 5 figures to spend on a bicycle with or without a motor???), i'm painfully aware of the wrench this class 3 stuff throws into trail advocacy, i fully expect 87.69% of levo owners to be rallying illegally in class 3 and i fully expect downvotes to go skyhigh, but... i own a toyota yaris (maybe 97mph top speed). a mid-life-crisis guy in a neighborhood down the way owns a ferrari...

4/8/2025 11:24am The standard link and yoke are. Haven't gotten a chance to test fit the high pivot kit on an aluminum frame yet though. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. If anyone in the greater Seattle area has an aluminum frame and wants to find out, swing by and we can throw it on.

4/8/2025 10:15am Really wish Spesh would have just shadow funded their own version of STUnlocker not associated with their brand. I personally don't think the class 3 thing will be a huge issue outside of us nerds here but it's just unnecessary. The eSUV crowd and mountain bikers who want to derestrict their bike will find out how to do so with a Google search.

4/4/2025 8:58am Full review coming soon, but I just received an updated version of the Rimpact with a lighter set of springs and will report back after my first ride on Friday. The sealing is a million times better on the Rimpact damper (they're from the UK) than on the Ochain, so that's in the plus camp. I didn't love the stiffer springs on the Rimpact, so I'm curious to try the softer springs. My understanding is that new Rimpact Chain Dampers will now ship with both the softer and stiffer springs for both types of riders. Full review will explain more...

4/2/2025 10:36am So reviewers seem to love the Trek Slash ebike, but this norco is a 4 bar high pivot with a full sized motor and oversized battery- why would anyone ever choose the Trek over this?

3/31/2025 8:19am I have a little note about Leatt grips, the idea of them on paper looked great, they say “maximum vibration damping”. The plastic is cut out and has a material in there which I thought would work great. The grip material itself is pretty stiff. Unfortunately I thought they added more vibration to my bike and bar set compared to OneUp grips or the Diety soft large grip. And in other news, I’m trying the Rimpact TMD vs countershox. My first impression is that Countershox made a bigger change and much easier to install. Total weight is similar, but rimpact...
