8/24/2024 10:39pm I've been away for a while, so not checking regularly for a couple weeks, so I spent a couple hours trying to catch up, prolly 12 or so pages the content and tone of comments has changed drastically in the last year. I can only assume with increased users and engagement, which has brought along with it, a much more negative and judgy tone. I was drawn to this comment section for the rumours and innovation (and spy shots, and great info from the likes or TEAMROBOT, Cascade, Dave, and many others) but I find myself turned off by the...

8/20/2024 1:03am From my perspective, the number og warranties and bad product that gets shipped is the big problem here. I have owned 5 Fox suspension products, and 4 of them had to be warrantied. 2 X CSU creaks, and a DPX2 that just become rock solid, and a X2 that mixed oil and air. All of the problem has been fixed...

8/12/2024 10:55pm That’s a good thing, it means there’s a well defined cornering knob that you can drive into the ground for grip. IMO rounded tires nearly always suck.

TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic Not Mechanical, Not for Aftermarket Purchase - SRAM Launches S-1000 Eagle Transmission
7/2/2024 11:25pm This feels like the product no one was asking for. Maybe SRAM knows something about the MTB market that I don't, but doesn't it seem like a mechanical Transmission has 1000% more market interest than an SX-level battery-operated system?

6/25/2024 7:50am https://www.moonmenbikes.com/moonriser-ti-handlebar Only thing i can think for that specific is a bit expensive but full custom TI so you can probably get the 8 back and upsweep and whatever rise you want up to about 100mm

6/24/2024 1:00pm If anyone know where to find a 8 back- and 8 upsweep bar with 50 rise or more, hit me up! Liked the Newmen bar with 8/8 sweep, but it was only avialable with 40 rise.

5/21/2024 12:51am i feel you, my almost 4 year old mt7 has a problem and i got my right master replaced under warranty, it now feels better than the left one, both fresh oil and everything, it just feels tighter, more defined bite point, sharper action, just better. that's why i'm considering other brakes for which i can perform a rebuild every other year along with the usual clean and bleed

5/20/2024 12:00pm Basically everything. From lever feel, pad retraction and smoothness of each piston. So i think brake maintenace should be higher up on the service list from now on.

5/20/2024 9:39am PR from Kona Dear Friends, Kona Bicycles has been in the news lately. We’d love to say that it’s because the new Ouroboros is blowing everyone’s minds (because it really is that good), but truthfully, it has been a bumpy couple years. So, it’s time to print a positive headline: Kona is returning home to its roots. Dan Gerhard and Jake Heilbron have purchased the brand back from Kent Outdoors, and along with a team of dedicated, experienced Kona employees, are reuniting to keep the Long, Sweet Ride rolling. There are a lot of familiar faces here who you know...

5/20/2024 6:16am Another thing i am curious aboust is how ling should a brake last? 1 season, 5 seasons, forever? I got me thinking because i crashed and needed to replace the lever body, and bought a complete brake, and man its was a massive improvement! 3 years old MT7 that was upgraded.

5/5/2024 1:51am Magura MT7 with Magura Race pads and 203mm HC rotors front and rear.I really like this setup, lever feels light, and really good power when you need it. Also pretty impressed with then on long decents, no to minimal fade. And you get the sweet sound of disc rub.
