1/12/2026 1:46am I have the same issue, but I need to reduce stroke. What I understand is that you must change the damper body, because the HBO is fixed, and with different strokes it will not work. I don't know exactly how it works, but I assume, with a longer stroke, you may be bottoming out the HBO it self,not the shock?

1/6/2026 7:10am For me it is that i think presta are pretty bad in most ways. Clogging, bent core, low volume etc. Schrader is in my opinion Superior in every way. And i often use an air compressor, so schrader makes the life easier.

I believe it's hard to put the blame on anyone specific. It's also not always fair to wonder, "what they were thinking". There are no hard feelings or criticism from our side towards anyone of our partners who might have forecasted too high, because it is our call to interprete these forecasts for ourselves. The bike industry as a whole could have sold more than they did in 2020 and most likely throughout the whole 2021. However, the supply chains simply were not able to cope with the demand. And I completely understand that, for some companies (those that essentially everyone needed parts from) it was impossible to give exact lead times. Their systerm could not scale for that demand and that's why you suddenly heard about lead times of 700-800 days. In reality it could have been 300 or 1000. Rode my Hightower V2 three seasons in the bike park. Had a great time. Keep hearing “there’s nothing like riding a downhill bike”. I believed the hype and bought a V10.8 in 2024. They were right.
