TC is better for hardpack since it's larger lugs don't squirm and the side knobs don't fold in cornering. My perfect tire would be MM with the side knobs from the TC. I can deal with a little squirm from the center tread, but the side knobs folding has bitten me a couple of times when I ran the MM too long into the summer hardpack.

Is the TC really better for rock slabs and hardpack that the MM ?

I've been eyeing the HR3 as a potential year round front tire here in GA. I like the open tread in the fall/ winter for cutting through leaves and pine needles but having strong enough side nobs to resist folding in in the spring/ summer on hardpack sections. Currently I run Magic Mary but switch out to a Tacky Chan in the summer when trails get hard and the MM side nobs can fold.

No one commented the Amaury Pierron upper section - for me, this is the true definition of Downhill Mountain biking !!! If he did not fell he will surely be in #1 spot !!!

Apparently there's a mtb world cup race this weekend - EDR Morillion namely - and this site doesn't even bother to at least post results (day 1 results to be exact), but more shocking are the entry numbers: about 120 elite men, 30 women, 23 male junior and 4 female juniors. Whoever said Enduro racing was alive and well ... is wrong. Oh, and there were 10 starters in E-EDR...

I am 100% on the Manitou fork cult member list. I have a mezzer pro and in my opinion it is the best non usd fork a person can buy. It always feels composed. Its so easy to adjust I am constantly ride to ride making little changes based on how I'm feeling and what im riding. Smooth jumpy rides, no issue I tweak for that. I’ve never found anything that does that as well as a MaxxGrip DH Casing Assegai running as little pressure as I can get away with. Haven’t tried any of the radial tires yet though.

+2 for me, big big agree. But I’m still waiting for those sweet, sweet slideshows to make a return. Or maybe I just need a Spotify link to that low-tempo, bass-forward track that accompanied the slideshows, so I can cue it up and scroll… Spomer can you make that happen and bring back the old timey feels?
