I can with 100% certainty say you're incorrect. "We're all better for it." is immeasurably short-sighted. I only typed that thing up because I didn't want the poster to feel like I was making a judgement on him (or anyone else). It costs me nothing to make sure the people who haven't earned any sort of negativity from me don't perceive any negativity from me towards them. For many of us life is hard. What a fucking treat! Getting to watch some of the bleeding edge of our sport mix it up with some all time legends was rad as hell. Getting to see a full Sam Hill, Connor Fearon run these days is few and far between. What a fuckin rad event. Also those belt drive bikes so soooooo nice. With the first pass of 2025 UCI team data released, let's take a look at how things are shaking out. It's rough out there kids. All data pulled from the UCI website (https://www.uci.org/riders/mountain-bike-riders-teams/1V5hGPnEvXzbIqkjU…). In past years this data hasn't been final at initial release, so things may change a little in the coming weeks. As expected the number of teams in 2025 has come down dramatically - a roughly 38% decrease across all disciplines. The UCI has not yet released which teams are elite vs standard, so for now all teams are listed as standard. The home countries listed for...
