Progressive bottom out bumpers on coil shocks work really well. Push uses a special one on the coil shocks they sell for the SI equipped Yeti bikes. They don’t last that long in my experience using them in automotive rally car applications, but when they are fresh they are very effective.

Got a set of these in 4 ply that I made the mistake of putting on a hard tail 'temporarily', never bent so many levers or tore so many calluses in my life, still got them in perfect condition just in case I decide to build retro bike or need to remove my finger prints for any reason.

This... This happened to me the other day, aggressor dd, 30 psi, and huck norris. Stupid line choice on my part while hauling the mail trying to hit rock gaps on an old ohv trail. Racing isn't always about who is the fastest.

Bummed to hear this. Both races have huge potential. We have had a crappy hand dealt to us in the last 8 months here in Durango and Silverton. What we need is some slow, steady rain and a good winter ‘18-19 to bring it back. I just rode some of the great terrain off Coal Bank Pass today. It’s all...
The new XTR pedals are grabbing my attention. I love my Times but considering moving back to SPD. I'd like to see the larger platform trickle down to XT asap.

I’ll take an XTR shifter and rear derailleur to mate with my XO cassette and keep running my current wheelset. The DT star ratchet is nice and quiet when greased with the DT freewheel grease. The brakes looks sweet. Master cylinder resevoir sticks up in the air and isn’t as smooth looking as the Guides or Codes, but I bet the brakes work just as well or better. Bring on the XT version right away!

All good points to ponder. I’d love to see Jared or Curtis pull a strong result on whatever they choose to ride. They work their asses off, as anyone who calls themselves a pro should. RR I am not worried about at all. He’s just gonna get better as he gets wiser. Did he sprain his ankle or something at this event?

The main reason why most fans are talking about Jared and his racing woes is that it seams to coincide with his move to the big bad S. Also we don't seem to get any info on who is running the team, because succesful teams also requires very good management.

There's something to be said for a "run what ya brung" mentality. Maybe having too many bike & set up options can lead to paralysis by over analysis. My opinion is that more than anything the constant 3 seasons of injuries , flats & mechanicals is what is hurting their results the most. Until you're finishing races uninjured or with a working bike, you can't ramp up your performances or build on any good finish. We wouldn't even be talking about Sam Hill if he were dealing with the things those guys are going to through. Same for Richie.

I agree with the run what ya brung school of thought. I also think JG, CK, and RR are all tip top and dealing with common racing issues. But flats happen when your going to fast to pick a clean line. Crashes happen when you get out of control. Mechanicals sometimes just happen, but they often happen when a rider makes an error of some sort. Sam Hill is not making a lot of errors. He is unbelievably consistent. He hasn’t been trashing his bike or getting flats. That is good luck, but more so phenomenally clean riding. His racecraft...

Hey enrico650, I don't work full time for Vital, I do review product for them from time to time, so don't take what I write as "coming from Vital". However, I have been to a few of these bike launch events and wanted to mention a few things... First, generally the company can only bring a handful of bikes to a launch. Partly because these demo bikes are in short supply, partly because the bike launch is usually done in a remote location so there are limitations from a logistics perspective. This means the company can only bring one bike...

How much do these bikes weigh? Lots of talk about weight savings but I can’t seem to find any numbers for complete bike weights. Did I miss those numbers somewhere?

Listened to the entire thing all the way through. Great questions and Rob Warner is classic. Great Job!!!! Never got bored or fast forwarded through the entire cast. I actually rewound some parts to hear again.

Ahh man absolutely fantastic way to spend an evening listening to this. Great job Spomer. When everything in the media these days is all about the quick fix, 2min edits and insta bangers it’s bloody brilliant to sit back, chill and listen to this stuff. The longer the better. And that great anti-corporate Vital vibe. Keep it coming.
