Yeah unsurprisingly when you outsource all of your technology production for 30 or 40 years, those people get really really good at it...... especially when it comes to manufacturing something to a price. I'm sure a lot of western companies could build a great competitor to DJI but it might cost about three times as much! Are people willing to pay that much for something just because it isn't Chinese? We also forget that products made in China aren't sometimes bad because of where they are made, they are bad because they were made to a spec and a price...

Speaking of Cominions. I finally got myself a pair of Dominions, so I can compare them to my Cominions (Code RSC levers, Dominion A4 calipers). The two setups have nothing in common except the calipers. Pads, rotors, and wheel sizes are all different. I can't make any useful observations about power. This post is all about feel. Sounds like all of the downsides of cables plus all of the downsides of wireless to me. Annoying to install, annoying to remove, needs to be charged, it's expensive and heavy, and there's more things to go wrong.

Some our local rippers / engineers came up with a very unique "axle-less" pedal. Machined here in Calgary, Alberta and testing in the rocky mountains. They use a big ol 6902 bearing for spinny duties. The pendulum (drop pedal) is super interesting.
